New Atlas reported an earlier asking price of CAD 165,000 on December 7, 2025, based on information from the builder at that time. That is a historical figure, not the current listing price or an estimate of the home’s value.
The listing does not establish delivery, site work, hookup costs, insurance, financing, local occupancy approval or total cost to move in. Tiny House Talk’s June 20, 2025 description says the home was originally built for a client intending to use it as a legal accessory dwelling unit rental and lists water, septic, 50-amp electrical and propane hookups. That account does not show that approval or utility arrangements transfer to a new owner or a different site. Moving a 10-foot-wide tiny house in British Columbia
The Barred Owl’s listed 10-foot width is approximately 3.05 metres. British Columbia’s Commercial Transport Regulation sets 2.6 metres as the ordinary maximum outside vehicle width for highway operation without a permit; a wider vehicle may not be operated on a highway without one. Because the home is wider than that threshold, buyers should establish the transport requirements before purchase if the house needs to be moved by road. A permit outcome or transport plan cannot be determined from the home’s dimensions alone. The actual vehicle and load configuration, route and applicable permit requirements matter. Ask the appropriate transport authority and a qualified mover to confirm permits, route constraints, towing equipment, any escort requirements and cost. Rewild Homes says its houses are custom-designed and that styles, layouts and prices vary. Its other models are not necessarily like-for-like alternatives, and the available listings do not establish comparable installed costs or which home offers better value. When comparing options, focus on the details that change how a home fits your site and daily use:
- Dimensions and usable layout: Compare width and length, and check whether the bedroom is on the main floor or in a loft.
- Access and circulation: Consider stairs or ladders, bathroom access and the path between rooms.
- Appliances and fuels: Confirm what is included and whether the appliances match the site’s available services.
- Hookups and intended use: Verify electrical, water, septic and propane arrangements, plus local approval for the planned occupancy.
