A rear release lever frees a pouch; it is not automatically a casing latch. Only use a service-access procedure if the manual for your exact model describes one.
Identify what you need to open
- To remove a stuck pouch: look for a release lever and follow the pouch-release instructions in your model’s manual.
- To clean or access the inside: check whether the manual specifically provides a user-access procedure. Some Fellowes models warn users not to open or repair the machine.
Find the model number on the product label, then use Fellowes’ support page to locate product information, manuals, or repair help. Do not pry at the casing or follow instructions for a different model.
Release a jammed pouch on an M5-95 or A75
M5-95
For the Fellowes M5-95, activate the release lever at the back of the laminator, then gently pull the pouch out. The manual describes this as a pouch-release function—not a way to open the housing. Read the M5-95 manual.
A75
The A75 manual also describes a rear release lever for removing or realigning a pouch. It explicitly says, “DO NOT attempt to open or otherwise repair the machine.” Read the A75 manual.

Open the service cover on models designed for access
Voyager
- Keep the laminator powered on. Select Open from the start-up menu and confirm.
- If the machine has been laminating, allow it to cool; the Voyager manual says cooling may take up to 30 minutes.
- Wait for the Open screen and beep. Move the levers on both sides backward, then lift the cover with both hands.
The Voyager manual describes additional mechanism-release steps for experienced users. Do not attempt those steps unless you are experienced and following that manual. Read the Voyager manual.
Jupiter
- Press the Open control.
- Wait until the Wait LED turns off and the ready beep sounds.
- Press the silver buttons on both sides, then lift the lid with both hands.
The Jupiter manual says experienced users may release the rollers; any released rollers must be secured again before closing the lid. This is a Jupiter-specific Easi-Access procedure, not a general instruction for Fellowes laminators. Read the Jupiter manual.

When not to open the casing
The A75 and Sola manuals both warn users not to open or repair the machine. The Sola manual says, “DO NOT attempt to open or otherwise repair the machine.” Read the Sola manual. If your laminator’s controls or panels do not match the manual, stop rather than forcing a cover or reaching inside, and contact Fellowes support.
