The listed capacity is useful for comparing appliance size, but it does not establish how many people a batch will serve. The Ultimate Lid product page gives manufacturer guidance of up to six servings; the other product pages cited here do not establish a comparable serving count.

This model has a separate pressure-cooking lid and air-frying lid. That makes its configuration straightforward to understand: use the lid associated with the cooking method. Before choosing it, consider where both lids and the listed accessories will be stored.

Choose the 6.5QT Ultimate Lid if you want one lid design
The Ultimate Lid combines its listed functions in a single-lid configuration and has a slightly larger stated capacity than the 6QT model. Its product page lists 13 functions, but those functions do not mean it pressure-cooks at multiple pressure levels: Instant Pot’s FAQ says pressure cooking on this model is high-pressure only.
Consider the 8QT Pro Crisp for a larger listed capacity
At 8 quarts, the Pro Crisp has the largest stated capacity among these three examples. Its manufacturer describes auto-sealing and gentle steam release on the upgraded lid. The available product information does not establish a guaranteed batch yield or show that it outperforms the smaller models.

Does Crock-Pot Express air fry?
Crock-Pot’s Express Multi-Cooker FAQ documents pressure-cooking controls and how to align the lid lock. It does not verify an air-frying function. Treat Express as a pressure-multicooker option unless the exact model’s product listing or manual confirms air frying; the Crock-Pot name alone is not evidence that a model is an air-fryer combo.
What to check before buying
- Capacity: Match the stated quart size to your usual batch size, and check the appliance’s counter footprint and storage needs. Capacity alone is not a promise about servings.
- Lid storage: The 6QT Duo Crisp listing specifies two interchangeable lids; the Ultimate Lid uses one lid design. Confirm you have room for the complete setup, including any parts that are not in use.

Pressure-cooking safety for the Ultimate Lid
Instant Pot’s Ultimate Lid FAQ says that this model requires at least two cups of watery liquid for pressure cooking and operates at high pressure only. Do not open the lid until the appliance has fully depressurized. These instructions are specific to the Ultimate Lid model; consult the manual supplied with the exact cooker for setup, operation and cleaning instructions.
