The best BISSELL SpotClean depends on where you need to clean and whether you want a corded or cordless machine. BISSELL’s listings distinguish models by intended use, included tools and specifications, but the available information does not establish a universal winner or independently tested stain-removal results. Treat performance language on product pages as manufacturer positioning, not a comparative test.
Which BISSELL SpotClean should you choose?
Compare the exact model number and local package before buying: configurations and included accessories may differ by market or change over time. The figures below are specifications and package details listed by BISSELL, not independent measurements.
| Model | Best fit based on BISSELL’s stated use | Power and reach | Capacity and weight | Included tools or items | Warranty listed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

Which model makes sense for pet stains?
The SpotClean Complete Pet 9749 is the clearest match if you want a model BISSELL specifically positions for pet stains. Its listed package includes a stain-trapper tool and trial-size pet stain and odor formula, as well as OxyGen Boost. Those inclusions identify its intended use; they do not demonstrate that it removes stains better than the other models.
The SpotClean Anywhere 97491 also lists a stain-trapper tool, so compare the exact package and formula included rather than assuming that only a model with “Pet” in its name has that accessory. Follow the manual for dealing with a particular spill and using any formula.

Should you get a cordless or corded SpotClean?
Choose cordless for access and freedom from an outlet
The Cordless 1570 is the option here that avoids a power cord while you clean. BISSELL lists a 20-minute runtime, a 4-foot hose and a 37 oz clean tank. Runtime is the manufacturer’s stated figure, not an independently measured result; consider whether the stated runtime and tank capacity suit the job you expect to do.
Choose corded for the listed cord reach
The Anywhere 97491 and Complete Pet 9749 each list a 15-foot power cord and a 4.5-foot hose. A corded model may suit a cleaning location with a convenient outlet and where its cord reach is useful. Compare your room, stairs or vehicle setup with the listed reach; the specifications alone do not establish which model cleans more effectively.

- Spraying crevice tool: Listed for the Anywhere 97491.
- Tank capacity: BISSELL lists a 37 oz clean tank for each model. The Cordless 1570 page also lists a 27 oz dirty tank; the cited Anywhere and Complete Pet pages do not state dirty-tank capacity.
- Weight: BISSELL lists each model at 8.5 lb. These are manufacturer-listed figures, not independent weigh-ins.
A larger listed clean tank or a particular accessory does not by itself establish better stain removal. Match accessories to where and how you plan to clean, and check the model’s instructions for use on the surface in question.

BISSELL describes its 2X Spot & Stain formula for portable carpet cleaners as intended for compact carpet-cleaning machines, including many SpotClean and related products. BISSELL identifies carpet and water-safe fabrics, including spot, stain and upholstery/fabric use. Compatibility is model-specific: confirm your exact machine in BISSELL’s formula information and follow its current manual rather than assuming one formula or dose applies to every SpotClean. The linked formula page is on BISSELL’s Canadian site, so regional instructions may differ.

How to check compatibility, instructions and support
- Find the model number. Check the machine label and use the full model number, not just “SpotClean,” when looking up parts, formula guidance or instructions.
- Open BISSELL’s support site. Look for model-specific manuals, cleaning and maintenance instructions, formula guidance and hose-replacement information.
- Confirm the local configuration. Compare the product listing and package contents for your market, especially tools and trial-size formulas.
- Follow the model manual. Use its directions for formula, water and maintenance; specifications or instructions for one SpotClean generation should not automatically be applied to another.
