WORX’s current U.S. cordless lineup includes walk-behind decks from 14 to 21 inches, with compact models positioned for smaller yards and a self-propelled 21-inch option for larger or uneven areas. Those yard-size descriptions are manufacturer guidance, not independent performance tests.
Which WORX electric mower is best for your yard?
There is no single best fit for every lawn. Start with the size and layout of the area you mow, then consider slopes, obstacles, mowing frequency, and how much effort you want to spend pushing. WORX’s U.S. cordless catalog lists several walk-behind sizes rather than one universal model.

WORX’s acreage labels are a starting point, not a guarantee of how much a charge will cover. A lawn with frequent turns, obstacles, steep sections, or long grass can demand more time and effort than an open, regularly maintained lawn of the same area.
How to choose by yard size, terrain, and effort
For a small or tightly landscaped yard
A compact 14-, 16-, or 17-inch deck can be easier to maneuver between garden beds, trees, and narrow passages. The trade-off is more passes across open lawn than with a wider deck. If the space is small but has many edges and turns, maneuverability may matter more than maximizing width.

For a larger, open yard
A 20- or 21-inch mower covers a wider strip per pass. WORX lists the WG752 and WG760 for roughly 1/4-acre yards, while describing the WG760 for medium-to-large yards. Treat these as catalog recommendations: mowing frequency, grass condition, terrain, and obstacles all affect practical coverage.
For hills or uneven ground
WORX describes the WG760 as self-propelled and suitable for hills or uneven terrain. That feature can reduce the need to push the mower forward, but confirm that the exact model and feature set match the product listing before buying. By contrast, WORX’s WG751 FAQ explicitly says that model is not self-propelled.

What the WG751 40V mower offers
The WG751 is a conventional push mower with a 20-inch deck and a 19-inch cutting diameter. WORX lists a 1.5–3.5-inch cutting-height range, a 1.4-bushel collection bag, and a five-year warranty on its product page. It uses two removable 20V 5.0Ah batteries to form its 40V system; WORX says it will not operate with only one battery installed.
- Mulch: Returns finely cut clippings to the lawn rather than collecting them.
- Bag: Collects clippings in the included 1.4-bushel bag.
- Side discharge: Directs clippings out of the mower rather than into the bag.
The handle folds for more compact storage. WORX advises against storing the WG751 outdoors; follow the model’s manual for storage, cleaning, and safe blade-service instructions.

How PowerShare batteries fit into the choice
WORX lists the WG751 with two 20V 5.0Ah batteries and the WG743 with two 20V 4.0Ah PowerShare batteries. A 40V mower requires two batteries, so having one compatible 20V pack is not enough to operate these systems. If you already own PowerShare equipment, check the mower’s voltage requirement, the number and capacity of batteries in the kit, and whether a charger is included. Model suffixes and bundles can differ between listings.

Mowing and care considerations
- Avoid wet grass: WORX recommends against mowing when grass is wet. It says wet conditions can hamper cutting, create clumps that interfere with mulching, and reduce runtime.
- Check the exact manual: Use the instructions for your model for blade service and other safety procedures; the WG737 manual is not a substitute for another model’s manual.
- Confirm current specifications: Lineup, availability, warranty terms, and included batteries can change. Verify the model’s current WORX listing and kit contents before purchase.
