Public-facing sources associate Ryan Reynolds with New York, but they do not confirm his exact current residence. Reports about homes he shares with Blake Lively describe a New York property portfolio; a widely repeated claim that the couple bought a home near Wrexham was later disputed by Reynolds.
Where is Ryan Reynolds based?
The Paley Center for Media describes Reynolds as living in New York, and the Television Academy has described him as based there. Those biographies support a broad New York connection, not confirmation of a specific current home or proof of where he is living now. The Paley Center’s event page and the Television Academy feature do not establish a current address.
What is known about the couple’s reported homes?
Architectural Digest’s April 2025 overview reports on the New York-area property history of Reynolds and Blake Lively and says they still own their New York City property. That is secondary reporting, not a land-record check or confirmation that the couple currently lives in any particular home. Property details can also change over time. Architectural Digest’s overview is best read as a reported account of their real-estate history, not a definitive current inventory.
Did Ryan Reynolds buy a house near Wrexham?
A report claimed Reynolds and Lively had bought a £1.5 million home near Wrexham. The figure belongs to that disputed media report; it is not a verified sale price or proof of a completed purchase. In 2023, Herald.Wales reported Reynolds disputing the story: “There was an article that said I’d bought a home over there, but that was not accurate at all.” Herald.Wales’s account reports his denial, so the purchase should not be stated as fact.

Why is Reynolds so closely linked to Wrexham?
Reynolds is a co-owner of Wrexham AFC and has visited the area in connection with the club. That public connection helps explain why stories about him living nearby attract attention, but ownership and visits do not establish residence. ITV’s 2024 headline quotes him saying, “I live, breathe, eat and sleep Wrexham”; the interview context is his relationship with the football club, not a statement that he lives in the town. ITV News Wales’s report and the Associated Press interview report provide context for that connection.

The available reporting supports a New York association and a reported history of properties connected with Reynolds and Lively. It does not establish an exact current residence, a complete and current property list, or which reported homes they occupy now. No precise address or definitive ranking of “insane houses” is justified by these sources.
