Its stated warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects for three years, but custom products are not promised change-of-mind returns. Review-platform posts and BBB complaints describe mixed customer experiences; they are individual reports, not proof of a product failure rate or of how any particular dispute should be decided.
What The Cover Guy sells
The Cover Guy presents itself as an online source for replacement spa covers. Its FAQ says covers are made to order and can be produced for different makes and models, including custom shapes and sizes. That does not establish that a particular cover will fit a particular spa: confirm the measurements and configuration before placing an order.

Review-platform feedback is mixed and should be read as customer-reported experience. BBB customer-review excerpts include reports of fraying, surface damage, and warranty disagreements. BBB says it does not endorse businesses or products. These accounts may help buyers identify questions to ask, but they do not establish the cause of damage or whether a specific warranty decision was fair.

What the BBB complaint count means
At the time of access on October 8, 2026, the BBB Canadian complaint page showed 23 complaints in the prior three years and eight closed in the prior 12 months. Its displayed categories were service or repair (14), product (6), billing (2), and delivery (1). These are counts shown on the BBB page, not a product failure rate: the page cautions that displayed complaint text may not represent all complaints.
The BBB page includes complainants’ allegations about warranty decisions, damage, sagging, wear, and customer service. Treat them as allegations, not established findings. BBB defines an “unanswered” complaint as one where the business failed to respond to the dispute. An “answered” complaint is one addressed by the business where the consumer did not accept the response or did not report satisfaction; neither label proves unlawful conduct or a product defect. The BBB profile says the business is not accredited.

Limited warranty
The company says its spa-cover material or workmanship defects under normal use are covered for three years, subject to the full policy. The policy specifies 36 months from delivery with appropriate documentation, up to a maximum of 39 months from manufacture, and says repair or replacement is at the company’s option. Check the complete policy for exclusions, claim requirements, and available remedies; the stated term is not a blanket guarantee against all wear or damage.

Returns
The published policy distinguishes custom, made-to-order products from non-custom products. It says eligible non-custom, non-made-to-order items may be refunded, with return shipping paid by the customer. It does not promise a change-of-mind return for custom covers. The policy directs customers with manufacturing issues, delivery damage, or warranty claims to customer service.

How to reduce avoidable problems
- Confirm the order details. Check spa dimensions, shape, hinge orientation, skirt, and any other configuration details against the company’s instructions before submitting a custom order.
- Save the paperwork. Keep the order confirmation and the warranty and return terms that apply when you buy; the warranty policy calls for appropriate documentation.
- Inspect the delivery promptly. If the cover arrives damaged or appears incorrect, document what you see and contact customer service using the company’s published process.
- For a warranty concern, follow the policy. Gather the order details and supporting documentation, describe the issue, and consult the full warranty terms for claim requirements and exclusions.
