The JBL Bar 9.1 is a home-theater system, not just a soundbar: it includes two detachable wireless surround speakers and a wireless subwoofer. The advertised “52% off” claim is not verified by a dated retailer offer, so it should not be treated as a current deal. Check the seller’s price and offer dates before buying.
What comes with the JBL Bar 9.1?
JBL describes the Bar 9.1 as a 9.1-channel system supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Its package includes a soundbar, two detachable wireless surround speakers and a wireless subwoofer. JBL’s US product page identifies the model as item JBLBAR913DBLKAM; confirm the regional model and included accessories in the specific retailer listing.
The manufacturer specification sheet describes the channel configuration as 5.1.4, with a 10-inch subwoofer, built-in Chromecast and AirPlay 2. JBL’s product page also lists Bluetooth streaming. Detachable surround speakers
The surround speakers detach from the bar for placement around the listening area and recharge when docked. JBL lists a three-hour charge time; its launch announcement claims up to 10 hours of playback per charge. That runtime is a manufacturer claim, not an independently tested result. JBL’s launch announcement includes the claim.

What does the 820 W figure mean?
JBL’s specification sheet lists 820 W maximum total speaker output at 1% THD. This is a stated maximum-output specification, not a measure that by itself establishes sound quality or how the system will perform in a particular room. Listening results also depend on room layout, placement and source material.
Will Dolby Atmos or DTS:X work with your setup?
Having an Atmos- or DTS:X-capable soundbar does not guarantee that every connected device or TV will deliver those formats. JBL says playback depends on a compatible source and connection path. Its guidance describes connecting a source device to the soundbar’s HDMI input, or using HDMI ARC if the TV supports Atmos over ARC. Check the capabilities and settings of both the TV and the source device before purchase. JBL’s connection guidance explains the options.

Is the JBL Bar 9.1 52% off?
A current 52% discount cannot be confirmed without a retailer, region, regular price, sale price and offer dates. A search listing referenced a different September 8, 2025 headline saying 42% off; that historical headline does not verify a 52% offer or establish that any promotion is live. Treat the discount as unconfirmed unless a retailer page shows the exact model, price and dates.
