The Cortes is a 38-foot RV tiny home from Rover Tiny Homes with three manually operated slide-outs. New Atlas reports that the extensions increase its floor area from 304 square feet when compacted to 374 square feet when expanded. That extra room comes with a substantial trade-off: the home weighs about 20,000 pounds, and its builder recommends delivery rather than regular towing.
How much space do the three slide-outs add?
New Atlas reports 304 square feet (28 square metres) of floor area with the slide-outs in and 374 square feet (34.7 square metres) with them extended. That is a reported increase of 70 square feet, or about 23 percent. The extensions make the home’s usable footprint larger at the site; they do not change its stated 38-foot length.
The slide-outs are manually operated, according to New Atlas. The sources do not specify the operating time, required effort, or whether power assistance is available. Buyers comparing layouts should consider both the expanded space and the work and clearance needed to deploy the extensions.
What is inside the Cortes?
Rover Tiny Homes lists two bedrooms on the main floor and a sleeping or storage loft. New Atlas describes the loft as low-ceilinged and reached by ladder, so it may suit storage or occasional sleeping better than everyday use for some occupants.
