The figures and features below come from GeekWire’s November 13, 2019 report; they describe the workplace as reported then, not a current directory or confirmation of public access.
How large was F5’s workplace?
GeekWire reported that F5 occupied 28 floors and 515,000 square feet in F5 Tower. The same 2019 feature counted 59 meeting rooms and 290 rooms for collaboration, focus, and phone calls. Those numbers describe F5’s reported workplace at the time, not the building’s current tenant directory. GeekWire’s November 13, 2019 feature provides the figures.
What made the office feel connected rather than vertical?
Shared spaces between work floors
F5’s shared spaces—including places to eat, lounge, play games, and gather—were reported on every third office floor. The arrangement created recurring destinations within a workplace spread across many levels, rather than concentrating all informal activity in one location. GeekWire’s report describes the placement and types of spaces.
An internal staircase for everyday movement
An internal staircase connected office floors and was intended to encourage employees to cross paths and move between levels. In a high-rise, that circulation feature can function as more than a route between floors: it gives people a reason to encounter colleagues outside scheduled meetings. The report presents that as a design aim, not a measured outcome.

How did the design use daylight and views?
The office featured floor-to-ceiling glass, with work areas positioned to preserve city views. Its pinwheel layout was intended to improve orientation and provide longer sightlines. NBBJ design partner Ryan Mullenix explained the rationale: “By creating the pinwheel, you’re always in a corner, you have the long view across the city or down the street. And you never feel isolated at your desk.” GeekWire’s 2019 coverage reports the design description and quote.
What did F5 say about commuting?
F5 leaders described commute choices, transit access, and proximity to city amenities as important employee priorities in choosing a workplace. Jay Phillips, F5’s senior director of global workplace solutions, said the share of employees driving alone fell from 55 percent before the move to under 25 percent afterward. That is a historical figure Phillips reported to GeekWire in 2019; it is not a current or independently verified statistic. The feature also quotes F5 executive Ana White, who said of the employee priorities the tower addressed, “This tower solved for all of that.”

What was the Customer Engagement Center for?
F5’s top-floor Customer Engagement Center was designed for customer meetings and presentations. GeekWire described display technology and RFID visitor badges as part of the space, which F5 director of customer engagement Dmitry Risukhin said was intended to be both functional and emotionally engaging: “We wanted this to be functional as a meeting space. But we also wanted it to be exciting and emotionally interesting.” The 2019 article does not say the center is open to the public.

F5 Tower’s reported design combined several elements that address the challenges of a vertical workplace: shared spaces placed across floors, a stair that supported informal movement, sightlines and daylight, and facilities for customer-facing presentations. These features show the design intent described in the 2019 account; they do not establish a comparative ranking against other offices or confirm that the workplace remains unchanged today.
