SlashGear reported on October 16, 2023 that Ryobi planned to showcase 17 outdoor-power products at Equip Expo in Louisville, Kentucky, October 17–20, 2023. The coverage said the products were expected to arrive the following year, but it did not give firm launch dates. Its rundown describes representative products and specifications rather than establishing a complete, numbered list of all 17. SlashGear’s 2023 coverage is therefore best read as a historical overview, not proof that every item remains available today.
The range addressed several yard-maintenance jobs: string trimming and edging, pruning, hedge cutting, leaf cleanup, and use of Expand-It attachments. It also included an 80V power source, a different kind of product from the cutting and cleanup tools.
Start with the battery platform
The announcement covered multiple Ryobi battery systems. The platform matters before any cutting or airflow figure: a tool described as 18V ONE+ is not thereby an 40V tool, and the 80V Power Source is a separate product category. Check the exact platform and package contents on the product listing before buying; the 2023 coverage does not establish whether each configuration is tool-only or includes a battery and charger.

Tools for trimming, edging and attachment work
40V HP Brushless 16-inch carbon-fiber-shaft string trimmer
SlashGear described this model as suited to maneuvering around obstacles and working on larger yards. It reported Ryobi’s comparison that the trimmer is more powerful than a traditional 28cc gas trimmer. That is a manufacturer performance claim as relayed by the article, not an independent test result.
18V ONE+ 10-inch String Trimmer/Edger
This compact 18V model has a twisting shaft that lets the user change between trimming and edging, according to the 2023 coverage. It is a different platform and size class from the 40V 16-inch trimmer.

The announcement also named 18V ONE+ HP and 40V Brushless Cutter/String Trimmer variants with a two-in-one head. Confirm the model’s platform and intended cutting attachments before comparing it with a dedicated string trimmer.
Expand-It attachments
Ryobi’s Expand-It hedge-trimmer and cultivator attachments were also mentioned. Attachment compatibility is specific: verify the power head and attachment requirements for the exact models rather than assuming that an attachment fits every Ryobi tool or battery platform.

Compact pruning chainsaws: reported cut counts
The 18V ONE+ HP Compact Brushless 8-inch Pruning Chainsaw was reported to cut three times faster than its predecessor and to make 70 cuts using an 18V 2Ah battery. SlashGear also reported a 50-cuts-per-charge claim for a six-inch version. These are Ryobi performance claims reported in 2023; the coverage does not provide independent test conditions beyond the stated 2Ah battery for the 8-inch figure. Actual results can depend on wood, technique, battery condition and other operating factors.
Hedge trimming and leaf cleanup
40V 24-inch Hedge Trimmer
The 40V hedge trimmer has a reported one-inch cutting capacity and was described as compatible with Ryobi’s 40V power supply belt. Check the current product documentation for the supported belt and configuration before relying on that feature.

18V ONE+ blowers
The announcement included an 18V ONE+ HP Brushless 510 CFM Whisper Series Blower, with airflow reported at up to 130 mph, and an 18V ONE+ 350 CFM blower. CFM and miles-per-hour describe different aspects of airflow; neither figure alone tells you how a blower will perform in a particular cleanup task. The figures here are specifications reported in the 2023 article, not independent measurements.
Ryobi’s current official outdoor-power catalog lists an 18V ONE+ HP Brushless 510 CFM Whisper Series Blower, model PBLLB01B. The separate standout: 80V 1000W Power Source
The 80V Power Source is designed to deliver 1,000 watts of portable power from an 80V battery. Ryobi’s current official catalog identifies the 80V 1000W Power Source as model RY80BG02B and displayed a price of $299 when accessed on October 8, 2026. Price and stock can change; check the current 80V collection for the latest listing. The 2023 article’s mention of the Power Source is distinct from its yard-tool rundown, so consider it separately from trimmers, saws and blowers.
Which products merit a closer look?
For a larger property or more demanding trimming, the 40V HP 16-inch trimmer is the most relevant option in this announcement to investigate, especially if you already use compatible 40V equipment. For compact pruning, compare the 8-inch chainsaw’s stated 70-cut claim with the six-inch model’s 50-cut claim, keeping in mind the different sizes and limited test detail. For routine leaf cleanup, the 18V blowers offer a choice of reported airflow ratings, while the current catalog listing can help confirm whether the 510 CFM model is still offered. If portable power rather than yard cutting is the need, the 80V Power Source stands apart.
