Her documented homes and rentals, in chronological order
2001–2006: French Normandy-style Beverly Hills home
Aniston and Brad Pitt reportedly bought a Beverly Hills home in 2001 for $13.1 million. Designed by Edwin Wallace Neff and built in 1934, it was described as French Normandy style. Architectural Digest reports the couple sold it in 2006 for $28 million. The same retrospective says the house later sold again in 2020 for $32.5 million; that later transaction was not an Aniston purchase or sale.
After 2005: Malibu beach-house rental
After separating from Pitt in 2005, Aniston reportedly rented a Malibu beach house for two years. Architectural Digest identifies it as belonging to Oracle cofounder Larry Ellison and describes it as a 1,531-square-foot property with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. In a 2006 Vanity Fair interview quoted by AD, Aniston called the rental “dark and depressing.” It was a rental, not a home she owned.

2006–2011: Ohana in Beverly Hills
In 2006, Aniston bought a Beverly Hills home designed by Harold W. Levitt for a reported $13.5 million. She called it Ohana, using a Hawaiian word associated with extended family. Architectural Digest describes the home as a roughly 10,000-square-foot, single-level hillside residence with mid-century-modern architecture and a Balinese-inspired retreat concept. Its indoor-outdoor character included extensive glazing and a koi pond; reported interior and material details include Brazilian cumaru, heated travertine flooring, and a Murano glass chandelier.
“I never doubted the house would be mine one day,” Aniston said in a 2010 Architectural Digest feature republished in 2017. AD reports that she listed Ohana for $42 million and sold it in 2011 for $38 million.

After 2011: smaller Beverly Hills rental
After selling Ohana, Aniston and Justin Theroux reportedly rented a smaller Beverly Hills home. Architectural Digest describes it as a two-bedroom, two-bathroom residence of 1,761 square feet, with rent reported at $20,000 per month. This, too, was a rental rather than an owned property.
2011–2012: West Village condos in New York
In 2011, Aniston bought two prewar condos in Manhattan’s West Village for a reported combined $7.01 million. The larger was a penthouse with a 900-square-foot wraparound terrace; the second was a one-bedroom apartment one floor below. Architectural Digest reports she sold both in 2012 for $6.5 million after paparazzi issues complicated her planned relocation.
Rank #3
From 2011: Bel Air residence
Aniston bought her Bel Air residence in 2011 for a reported $20.97 million, according to Architectural Digest’s May 2025 retrospective. Designed by A. Quincy Jones and completed in 1965, the 8,500-square-foot home had been renovated by Frederick Fisher before Aniston’s ownership. Aniston and Theroux then worked with interior designer Stephen Shadley and other designers on a two-year renovation.
The design balances the house’s minimalist architecture with warmer, tactile interiors. Architectural Digest documents hand-painted wallpaper, silk rugs, art, and gardens organized as outdoor rooms, with indoor-outdoor flow central to the plan. Aniston described her preference this way: “I’m all about cozy. Sexy is important, but comfort is essential.” AD’s 2018 interview also quoted her saying, “If I wasn’t an actress, I’d want to be a designer. I love the process. There’s something about picking out fabrics and finishes that feeds my soul.” Shadley’s stated standard was: “No matter how beautiful or glamorous something is, it has to be warm and inviting.”
Architectural Digest’s 2025 retrospective says Aniston still owns the Bel Air residence, and an August 2025 AD article describes it as her current Bel Air home. In that 2025 coverage, Aniston said: “I’ve basically incorporated all of the healing modalities in order to create a calm environment in the chaos of the wonderful industry and the world at large.”
2022: reported Montecito farmhouse purchase
Architectural Digest reports that Aniston bought a Montecito farmhouse from Oprah Winfrey in 2022 for $14.8 million. AD describes it as a four-bedroom home with three-and-a-half bathrooms and offered a glimpse inside in 2024. The reviewed coverage establishes the reported purchase, not whether Aniston still owns the property as of October 8, 2026.

What the public reporting establishes about her current homes
Among the properties in Architectural Digest’s reviewed portfolio account, the Bel Air residence is the one explicitly described as still owned. The Montecito farmhouse is a reported purchase whose present ownership is not confirmed there. Ohana and the West Village condos were sold, while the Malibu beach house and the smaller Beverly Hills residence were rentals. These labels matter: a home an actor once occupied is not necessarily a home they owned, and a reported past purchase alone does not establish current ownership.
