Perth TikTokker Jess Fussell’s six-second video was a styling recommendation, not a lamp review: PerthNow reported that she captioned it, “The $17 lamp from Kmart that every girly home needs.” Kmart currently lists the gold Amiri Portable Rechargeable Lamp at A$19, with three touch-controlled brightness settings and a compact, 21 cm-tall design. Whether it belongs in your home depends on the look and light you want—and the built-in battery cannot be replaced.
What Jess Fussell said—and what it means
PerthNow reported that Fussell showed the gold Kmart Amiri lamp styled on a coffee table in her living room. Her caption called it “The $17 lamp from Kmart that every girly home needs.” That is a personal, promotional-sounding styling claim as reported by PerthNow, not an independent assessment of its light output, durability or suitability for every home.
What the Kmart Amiri lamp offers
Kmart’s current listing for the gold Amiri Portable Rechargeable Lamp (SKU 43455706) displays a price of A$19. The A$17 figure is the price in the older PerthNow report’s account of the caption; it is not the current displayed price. Check Kmart’s product page for the latest price and availability.

The battery’s non-replaceable status is also noted in Kmart’s manual for item 43455706.

Who might find it useful
At 21 cm tall, the lamp is a small accent light rather than a substitute for general room lighting. Its three touch settings give you options for softer or brighter light, while the rechargeable, portable design can suit a coffee table, bedside surface or other domestic spot where a visible cable would be inconvenient. The listed brightness figures are modest; for reading or work, check whether the lamp’s light is sufficient for your task rather than relying on its styling appeal alone.
The fixed battery is an important trade-off: it is rechargeable, but not replaceable. If long-term repairability matters to you, consider that alongside the 12-month warranty and the product’s domestic-use-only description.
