When baking is finished, stop the cooking program with the oven’s designated stop control. The display should no longer show an active bake or cook mode. A cooling fan may keep running afterward; leave the oven connected to power while it cools, rather than switching it off at the wall or unplugging it.
Turn off the cooking program

Remove the food carefully, watching for hot air and surfaces.

Press the oven’s stop control. On Samsung’s US NE63*811*** range family, the control is labelled OFF/CLEAR; Samsung says it cancels oven operations except the clock and timer. Other models may use an OFF or Power button, a dial, or a touch-screen sequence. Use the instructions for your exact model rather than assuming another model’s button applies. Check the display to confirm the bake or cook mode is no longer active. The fan may remain audible even though heating has stopped.

Leave the oven powered while it cools. Samsung UK’s built-in oven guidance says not to switch the oven off at the wall or plug before it has cooled, because doing so may prevent proper cooling and cause overheating or damage. Samsung UK’s built-in oven troubleshooting guide
Why the fan can keep running
The internal cooling fan protects the oven’s electronics. Samsung explains that it runs while the electronics are hot and stops when they cool; the guidance does not give a fixed cooling time. Samsung also distinguishes this cooling fan from the convection fan at the back of the oven, which circulates heated air during cooking. Fan sound alone cannot tell you whether a cooking program remains active: check the display and your model’s manual.
OFF/CLEAR, the kitchen timer, and Timed Cook are different
On the cited NE63 range controls, OFF/CLEAR cancels oven operations but leaves the clock and timer intact. The kitchen timer is not a cooking shutoff. Some models offer Timed Cook, which ends the oven operation when the programmed cooking time expires. Feature availability and setup vary by model, so consult the relevant manual before relying on automatic shutoff. If the fan does not stop or sounds unusual

If the fan continues indefinitely, does not start when expected, or makes abnormal squealing, grinding, or squeaking sounds, contact Samsung Support for model-specific service guidance.

Do not treat ordinary post-bake cooling as a fault solely because you can hear the fan. Compare its behavior with the manual for your model.
