The Lasko MyHeat Personal Heater Model 100 is documented as a residential supplemental heater, not a whole-room or primary heating solution. Lasko provides an official manual for the 100 Series, but the documentation alone cannot establish how quickly it warms a space, how quiet it is, or how it compares with other heaters. Confirm the model number on the unit before applying any specifications: Lasko sells other MyHeat models with different wattages.
Which Lasko MyHeat does this review cover?
This review focuses on Model 100 because Lasko’s support page identifies “Model 100 – MyHeat Personal Heater” and links its instruction manual. The manual is marked for the 100 Series, revision F, May 2022. Check the label on your heater or its packaging: the MyHeat name also appears on Models 101 and 200, and their published specifications are not Model 100 specifications.

What Model 100 is intended to do
The manual says, “This Heater is intended for use as supplemental heat.” It specifies residential use and says the heater is not intended for commercial, industrial, or agricultural settings. That description supports treating it as an additional source of warmth rather than assuming it can replace a building’s main heating system.

Overheat protection and reset procedure
The manual describes a thermal-overload protector. If the heater reaches an overheat temperature, it automatically shuts off. To reset it, the manual instructs you to:
- Unplug the heater.
- Wait 10 minutes for it to cool.
- Plug it back in and follow the operating instructions in the manual.
Use the Model 100 manual for its operation and maintenance instructions. Do not assume that a feature listed for another MyHeat model applies to this one.

Why the model number matters
Lasko’s separate product pages show how easily specifications can be mixed up when a listing or review says only “MyHeat.”

The 400 W and 200 W figures belong to Models 200 and 101 respectively; neither should be attributed to Model 100. The cited pages also do not establish that either is a direct replacement for Model 100.

What this review can—and cannot—conclude
The manufacturer documentation establishes Model 100’s intended residential supplemental use and the manual’s thermal-overload reset procedure. It does not provide independent measurements of heating speed, room-temperature change, sound, durability, or comparative performance. Nor do the cited sources establish that Model 100 is suitable as a primary heat source or provide comparative fire-risk testing. A judgment about comfort, value, or performance would require evidence beyond these product documents.
