Kristin Cavallari’s Franklin, Tennessee-area estate reportedly sold for $7.5 million in early April 2025—not the $8.9 million asking price reported earlier that year. Coverage describes a substantial renovation that included a gutted kitchen, a finished basement, updated bathrooms and an expanded closet.
What did Kristin Cavallari sell the estate for?
TMZ and Us Weekly reported on April 14, 2025, that the property sold for $7.5 million. The $8.9 million figure was the reduced asking price, not the reported closing price. TMZ attributed its sale details to sources familiar with the transaction; Us Weekly also reported the $7.5 million figure. Neither report, as described in its coverage, provides a deed or closing statement, so the sale price is best treated as an outlet-reported figure.
How the asking price changed
| Timing | Reported price | What it represents |
|---|---|---|
| June 2024 | $11 million | Initial asking price reported by Us Weekly. |
| August 2024 | $9.95 million | Later asking price reported by Us Weekly. |
| January 2025 | About $8.9 million | Reduced asking price. Us Weekly reported $8.9 million; TMZ described it as about $8.99 million in its coverage of the contract and sale. |
| Early April 2025 | $7.5 million | Reported completed sale price, covered by TMZ and Us Weekly on April 14, 2025. |
Us Weekly and TMZ put Cavallari’s 2020 purchase at about $3 million; TMZ described it as just over $3 million. The difference between that approximate purchase figure and the reported sale price is roughly $4.5 million before renovation expenses, taxes, transaction costs, financing and other costs. It is not an established net profit.
What renovations did Cavallari make?
TMZ’s April 14, 2025 report said the renovation took 18 months and quoted Cavallari describing several projects: “I did a lot of work. I completely gutted the kitchen, finished the basement, redid a lot of the bathrooms and added on to my closet.” The report does not identify the original interview for those remarks.

What was the Franklin property like?
Us Weekly and TMZ described the estate as covering 28 acres in Franklin, Tennessee, in the Nashville area—not Nashville proper. Both outlets reported four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Their published living-area figures differ slightly: Us Weekly reported 6,788 square feet, while TMZ reported 6,799 square feet.
