What’s inside the ultimate Star Wars house? In a 2023 tour of collectors Lisa Stevens and Vic Wertz’s North Bend, Washington, property, GeekWire described a home built around Star Wars displays and a separate, two-story warehouse for a collection spanning thousands of toys and other memorabilia. The spaces included a Death Star-themed theater, an arcade, a full-scale Mos Eisley Cantina recreation and rows of LEGO sets. These are details reported in 2023, not a current inventory or an indication that the property is open to visitors.
How the Star Wars collection began
The couple’s collecting began around 1995, according to GeekWire. Stevens gave Wertz a Boba Fett action figure, and the two started buying other available figures, seeking autographs at a convention and hunting for finds in antique and thrift shops. Stevens recalled, “When Star Wars came out, it just blew me away,”
Both had careers in the tabletop game industry. GeekWire reported that Stevens was Wizards of the Coast’s first full-time employee and that she and Wertz later founded Paizo. Their collection grew beyond a hobby that could fit on shelves: when they built their North Bend house in 2002, they planned it with the collection in mind.
A house designed around a galaxy
The GeekWire tour described the home as a mix of ordinary living space and purpose-built displays. Its layout had X-Wing and Y-Wing sides, with life-size characters near the entrance and themed rooms deeper inside.

The Death Star theater
The home theater was designed by Lucasfilm executive creative director Doug Chiang, the feature reported. Its Death Star theme extended from the ceiling’s “starlights” to a replica of Han Solo frozen in carbonite. The room had THX audio and video, at least a dozen seats and a kitchenette.
Posters, arcade games and a main display room
A hallway displayed posters, while an arcade housed Star Wars games. The main display room brought together toys, props, artwork and prototypes. Across the house and warehouse, the feature described thousands of pieces, including action figures, lightsabers, early toy blueprints, packaging concepts and movie-used props. Those descriptions reflect what the collectors showed and said during the visit; they are not independent authentication of each item.

The separate warehouse and its cantina
As the collection outgrew the house, Stevens and Wertz completed a separate warehouse in 2019. GeekWire reported its size as 10,000 square feet and described two floors. Upstairs, the feature saw a full-scale recreation of the Mos Eisley Cantina; downstairs, rows of shelves held merchandise, including newer items and LEGO sets. Wertz said he assembled the LEGO sets himself during the pandemic.
The warehouse’s size and contents are the feature’s 2023 reporting, not a current audit. The same applies to the reported total of thousands of pieces: GeekWire did not provide an itemized count.

The work behind a collection this large
Collecting at this scale took ongoing effort as well as display space. At the time of GeekWire’s visit, Stevens and Wertz were photographing and cataloging items, assembling cases, rearranging objects and preparing displays. The feature reported that collection-related tasks took about three hours a day.
Wertz put the continuing appeal simply: “I am engaged with collectibles every day.” Asked about room for future figures, he said, “They haven’t made that stuff yet.” The couple’s experience suggests why space planning and inventory work matter as a collection grows: different kinds of objects need different ways to be stored, documented and shown. It does not establish a recommended system or a universal time commitment for other collectors.

What the collection is worth—and what is known
Stevens would not put a value on the entire collection, GeekWire reported. The article did cite one separate historical sale: an online bidder paid more than $200,000 for a rocket-launching Boba Fett figure in 2022. That is a reported auction result for one item, not an appraisal of the couple’s holdings or a current market estimate.
The account is a snapshot from GeekWire’s May 4, 2023 feature. It does not establish the collection’s present-day contents, value, or access arrangements. Its lasting point is the scale of the undertaking: a home designed to accommodate themed displays, followed by a dedicated warehouse when the collection needed still more room.
