Start by checking the USB charger and cable on another rechargeable device, then reconnect the mirror and give it time to respond. A deeply depleted battery may take up to 10 minutes to show a charging indicator, and Simplehuman estimates a full charge at 4–8 hours depending on the mirror model and charger rating. Controls, indicator lights and connectors vary by model, so identify yours before resetting it or ordering a replacement part.
1. Identify your mirror model and charging connector
Find the product name or model information on the mirror or in its instruction sheet. Simplehuman provides separate support pages for models including Round, Pro Round, Fold, wall-mount and Compact mirrors. Their charging connections and controls are not interchangeable by assumption.
For example, the Sensor Mirror Fold product page specifies USB-C, while Simplehuman labels its PD6083 Micro-USB cable for pre-2021 models. Check the port on your mirror and its model-specific guide before choosing a cable or following reset instructions. Simplehuman’s mirror support index links to model-specific support.
2. Check the charger and cable
- Disconnect the cable from the mirror.
- Test the USB charger and cable with a phone or another rechargeable device.
- If that device does not charge, try a working, compatible charger and cable before concluding the mirror has a fault.
This check can identify a problem with the charging setup, but it does not establish whether the mirror’s port or battery is working. Use a charger appropriate to your model; do not try an unverified voltage adapter. Simplehuman’s Round support page advises checking the charger and cable.

3. Reconnect the mirror and allow time for an indicator
Connect the cable firmly to the mirror and charger. If the battery is very low, Simplehuman says the charging indicator may take up to 10 minutes to appear. An absent light immediately after plugging in does not by itself show that the mirror is not charging.
Simplehuman estimates a full charge at 4–8 hours, depending on the mirror model and USB charger rating. This is the manufacturer’s guidance, not a guarantee for every mirror or charger. If your model’s support page provides a specific charging instruction, follow that guidance.

4. Interpret the light using your model’s guide
Do not assume that indicator colors or patterns apply across the range. On the Compact mirror support page, Simplehuman says a blinking green light means charging and a solid green light means fully charged. Other model pages may not provide the same indicator details. Check the guide for your exact mirror rather than treating the Compact pattern as universal. Compact mirror support.
5. Power-cycle the mirror if it still will not charge
Simplehuman’s Round and Pro support pages advise resetting the mirror if it has not been able to charge after four hours. The Round product FAQ describes a power cycle: switch the mirror off, leave it off for 20 seconds, then turn it back on. Depending on the model, the power button may be on the bottom or back.

- Use your model’s guide to locate its power button.
- Press the button to switch the mirror off.
- Leave it off for 20 seconds.
- Turn it on again, then reconnect it to the charger.
If your mirror’s controls differ, use its own support instructions instead of forcing this procedure. The documented troubleshooting steps are external charger and cable checks and a power cycle; they do not establish an internal battery replacement procedure. 7. Contact Simplehuman if charging still fails
If the charger and cable work elsewhere, the model-appropriate charging steps do not help, and the power cycle makes no difference, use the official support or warranty-claim route linked from your mirror’s product support page. Whether a repair or replacement is covered depends on the product and circumstances. Simplehuman’s reviewed Round product page states a five-year warranty for that model; that term should not be assumed to apply to other mirrors. Round support and warranty information.
