With its Bubble X attachment, the vapor inflates a bubble that a bartender can place over a cocktail; without Bubble X, the device can direct vapor into a glass or under a cover. Bartenders use it to add aroma and a visual reveal—not wood smoke or a change to the drink’s recipe.
What a Flavour Blaster does
The Flavour Blaster is a rechargeable tool that heats liquid aroma to produce fragrant vapor. The manufacturer describes using the vapor in bubbles, drinks, glass cloches, and desserts; this is an aromatic presentation, not combustion or wood smoke. The manufacturer’s Pro 2 page describes its intended uses and compatible attachments.
There are two basic presentations. Fit Bubble X to make a bubble garnish, or omit it to direct aromatic vapor into a serving vessel or beneath a dome. The bubble sits above the drink and gives the guest a visible cue before drinking; it is not an ingredient mixed into the cocktail.
Why bartenders use one
The appeal is sensory theater: a bubble or aromatic cloud creates a reveal, while the aroma adds a cue before or as the guest drinks. In Liquor.com’s historical reporting, bartender Ryan Peters described the bubble as a dramatic tableside flourish: “I would make them a drink, pour it in a nice glass and then whip out this gun and put this Merlin-like magic bubble on the drink.” Liquor.com’s article also reports Peters’s observation that a bubble lasted 10 to 60 seconds; that is his account, not a guaranteed product specification.

- Charge the device. Fit the coil and tank, add the aroma to the specified coil area, and install the tank according to the model’s instructions.
- Gently shake Bubble X before use, or once every 24 hours. Pour a portion into a small vessel.
- Dip only the nozzle tip into the Bubble X. Avoid immersing the nozzle more deeply.
- Hold the nozzle near the prepared cocktail glass and trigger the device. Release the trigger when the bubble reaches the size you want.
- Set the bubble over the drink. A rounded glass rim is recommended; expect that getting a consistent bubble may take practice.
For a vapor-only presentation, leave Bubble X off and direct the vapor into a suitable serving vessel or under a dome. Follow the specific manual for cleaning and care rather than assuming the same procedure applies to every model.
What supplies and upkeep to account for
