The Honda Pianta FV200 uses cassette-gas canisters made by Toho Metal Industries. Honda warns that canisters from other manufacturers may fit incorrectly, leak, or fail to supply fuel correctly, so do not assume a similarly shaped butane canister is compatible. Check the label and follow Honda’s specification.
Which canister is specified for the FV200?
Honda’s Japanese product page specifies cassette canisters from Toho Metal Industries; its accessory page names TOHO Shuttle as the recommended fuel canister for the FV200. The canister is a designated cassette containing liquefied butane, not a universal fuel container. Honda warns that other manufacturers’ canisters may install improperly, leak gas, or fail to supply gas correctly. Check the canister label before use and consult Honda or an authorized dealer if compatibility is unclear. Runtime and machine specifications
Honda lists a standard canister capacity of 250 g and estimates up to about one hour of continuous operation from one canister. That is a manufacturer estimate, not a guaranteed runtime: Honda says actual time varies with soil and operating conditions. Honda FV200 specifications.

What jobs can the FV200 handle?
Honda lists optional attachments for several garden tasks. Attachments are sold separately; check the exact model fit, task and working width before choosing one.
- Hilling and soil banking: Use an attachment intended for drawing soil around rows.
- Inter-row cultivation: Honda notes that the outer tines can be removed to work between rows.
- Weeding: Honda offers a task-specific weeding attachment.
- Soil leveling: A leveling attachment is listed for smoothing worked ground.
Honda recommends its specified attachments. Availability may change, so verify current compatibility with Honda or a dealer. The accessory page lists TOHO Shuttle as an open-price canister; it does not establish a current retail price. Honda FV200 attachments and accessories.

Maintenance and safe storage
Honda publishes an FV200 maintenance schedule and model-specific videos. The schedule says to follow whichever comes first—elapsed time or operating hours. It calls for the first engine-oil change at one month or 20 operating hours, whichever comes first; under high-load or high-temperature operation, it specifies oil changes every 50 hours. Clean the air cleaner more often in dusty conditions. Follow the current FV200 owner’s manual for the actual procedures, or ask a Honda dealer if you are unsure.
Honda’s FV200 video topics include checking engine oil, cleaning the tines, cleaning or replacing the air cleaner, using up remaining gas, and storing the machine. Honda maintenance schedule and FV200 videos.

- Compatibility - All Portable Camping Stoves that uses 8oz Camping Fuel - Gas One Portable Stoves and Others
- SELF SEALING - The Gas One Canisters feature a self-sealing nozzle. This stops the gas from leaking out when not inside a butane camping stove. With Chef Master butane canisters, you do not need to worry about gas leaks
- Burn Time - It will approximately last 2-4 Hours per canister depending on the heat level and portable stove's output
What Honda says about emissions
In its 2009 Power Products factbook, Honda reported that the Pianta emitted about 10% less CO2 per hour of use than a gasoline-powered tiller of the same displacement. Honda described this as its own calculation. It is a historical manufacturer comparison, not an independent test or a lifecycle-emissions comparison, and should not be generalized to operating cost or total environmental impact.
