Midea announced a vertically stacked, two-zone air fryer at IHS in March 2024, describing a 6-quart air-frying basket above a 5-quart oven. Later regional listings identify related but distinct models: Canada’s MAD111D8CPKL and the US MAD111D8APKW. The available specifications explain the design and listed features, but do not establish how well either model cooks in practice.
What Midea announced at IHS 2024
In a March 15, 2024 announcement, Midea America introduced a “Double Decker Two-Zone Air Fryer.” The launch description said it could cook two separate meals at once, pairing a 6-quart air-frying basket with a 5-quart oven. Midea also described smart connectivity and 10 cooking functions. Those are launch-announcement specifications; they should not be assumed to describe every later regional model.

Which product is being sold in each region?
The Canadian and US product pages name different model numbers and give different capacity totals. Treat them as related regional products, not interchangeable listings. Check the model number on the appliance or seller’s listing before relying on a feature, capacity, or warranty.

Specifications in the table are manufacturer listings, not independently verified performance findings. The Canadian page’s total and compartment capacities differ from the 6-quart-plus-5-quart figures in Midea America’s 2024 launch description. The cited US page displayed a $129.99 price when accessed in 2026; that listing price can change and is not a stable price recommendation.

Will a stacked two-zone layout suit your kitchen?
The design puts two cooking areas one above the other rather than side by side. That may be useful if you want separate foods or cooking settings without using two appliances, but both zones occupy the same vertical footprint. The Canadian model’s listed dimensions are 16.7 inches wide, 12.7 inches deep and 15.9 inches high; allow additional clearance if your cabinets or shelves limit access above the appliance. The US listing reports nearly the same dimensions, but gives them in a different order: depth × width × height.

Before buying, compare the measurements with the available counter area and overhead clearance, and consider whether you can comfortably reach the upper basket and lower tray. Capacity labels alone do not show how much usable space a particular meal will need.
What Sync Finish and app connectivity mean on paper
Midea Canada lists Sync Finish, a feature intended to align when the two compartments complete cooking. The listing does not establish its real-world accuracy or explain its operation in detail. Midea US lists Wi-Fi and SmartHome app controls for MAD111D8APKW; the Canadian page cited here lists touch controls but does not establish that the Canadian model has the same app connectivity. Do not assume the functions carry across regional SKUs.

Is there evidence of cooking performance?
No independently verified cooking tests or hands-on observations are established here. The available manufacturer pages do not demonstrate crispness, browning evenness, cooking speed, noise, or ease of cleaning. Midea’s descriptions of rapid air circulation and a ceramic coating are product claims, not substitutes for independent testing. The title of a search-result review is not enough to verify that anyone handled the unit or measured its results.

How to decide whether it is a fit
- Consider it if: you want two vertically arranged cooking compartments and the exact regional model’s listed capacity, dimensions and controls suit your meals and kitchen.
- Check carefully if: you need app control, a particular compartment size, specific accessories or a particular warranty. Confirm those details against the exact model number and your country’s product page.
- Wait for independent testing if: cooking results, cleaning effort or noise are decisive. Manufacturer specifications alone cannot answer those questions.
