How much did the Encino home sell for?
Paul bought the property in 2017 for $6.55 million, according to Redfin’s property history. It was listed in November 2021 for $8.995 million, then the asking price was reduced before the sale.
The transaction closed on April 20, 2022. Sources do not agree on the exact amount: Compass displays $7,504,325 in its MLS history and $7,504,500 in a public-record entry, while Traded reports $7,405,000. Describing the sale as about $7.5 million reflects the available records without implying that the exact figure is settled. These purchase, asking and sale prices are reported transaction figures, not a calculation of Paul’s profit.

What did the property offer outdoors?
The listing presents the grounds as an extension of the entertaining space: a large pool, lounge areas, room for gatherings, a grass area and the grotto-style outdoor kitchen. Together with the detached guest house, these features give the property its compound-like layout rather than the feel of a single house with only a backyard.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why do published bedroom and bathroom counts differ?
The address-linked listing data reports seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Archute’s article gives five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Because the figures conflict, the listing’s address-specific details are the clearer basis for describing the property, while the discrepancy is worth keeping in mind when comparing coverage.
