Dragon Tiny Homes’ Avalon V2: A 24-Foot Home With a Main-Floor Bedroom and Two Lofts

Dragon Tiny Homes’ Avalon V2 is described as a 24-foot home with 204 square feet, a main-floor bedroom and bathroom, and two flexible lofts. Its 2025 reported starting price is not a like-for-like comparison with a separate 2026 Avalon 24 inventory listing.

Dragon Tiny Homes’ Avalon V2 is described as a 24-foot trailer home with 204 square feet of interior space, a bedroom and bathroom on the main floor, and two lofts above. The layout puts everyday living, sleeping and cooking functions into a compact footprint, while the lofts can add sleeping or storage capacity. The details below are from New Atlas’s June 19, 2025 report; Dragon’s current listing for an “Avalon 24” is a separate, inventory-specific configuration, and the available pages do not establish that it is the same V2 design.

How the Avalon V2 uses its 24-foot footprint

New Atlas describes the V2 as 24 feet (7.3 m) long, with 204 square feet (19 sq m) of interior area. Its main floor places the living area near the center, with the kitchen and breakfast bar close by. A bedroom and bathroom are also downstairs, while two lofts provide additional flexible space.

That arrangement offers an alternative to putting all sleeping space overhead: the main-floor bedroom can serve as the primary sleeping area, while the lofts can be used for guests, storage or other needs. The report does not establish how comfortable the home is for particular occupants or how its dimensions feel in day-to-day use.

What is on the main floor?

Bedroom that can double as an office

The reported first-floor bedroom has standing headroom, a double bed with integrated storage and a wardrobe. New Atlas says it can optionally be used as an office. That flexibility may be useful for someone who wants to avoid climbing to a loft for their everyday sleeping space, or who needs a separate work area. The source does not specify the bedroom’s exact dimensions.

Living and work area

The living room is described with a sofa that has integrated storage, a pivoting wall-mounted television and an entertainment center. Nearby, the breakfast bar can act as a workspace as well as a place to eat. In a small home, the bar’s second use can help avoid dedicating floor area to a separate desk, though the report does not provide measurements for either surface.

Kitchen and bathroom

The kitchen equipment reported for the V2 includes a refrigerator/freezer, sink, induction cooktop and cabinetry. A flushing toilet is described, with a composting model available as an option rather than standard equipment. Confirm any toilet change with the builder: fit, ventilation, power, plumbing and local requirements all need to be checked for the specific unit.

How the two lofts work

New Atlas describes both lofts as usable for sleeping or storage. Access is by removable ladder, with an optional staircase also reported. A ladder takes up less space when it is not in use, while a staircase may be more convenient for regular access but occupies more of the limited interior. The report does not state which access arrangement is included in a particular purchase price.

V2 details versus Dragon’s current Avalon 24 listing

Dragon Tiny Homes’ available-inventory page currently labels a unit “Avalon 24.” It provides specifications and a displayed price for that particular listing, but it does not say whether that unit is identical to the Avalon V2 described in 2025. Keep the two records separate when comparing features or costs.

What to confirm before buying or planning a site

The published layout can help narrow down whether the V2’s mix of main-floor and loft space suits your needs, but a build decision depends on the exact unit and its delivery conditions. Ask Dragon Tiny Homes to confirm the current configuration, included and optional equipment, final price, delivery arrangements, site requirements and towing setup in writing.

  • Ask whether the unit being quoted is the Avalon V2, the listed Avalon 24, or another configuration, and request a current floor plan and equipment list.
  • Confirm which loft access option is included and whether the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom details match the unit you are considering.
  • Check the tow vehicle, hitch and route against the exact unit’s weight and dimensions; the 14,000 lb figure and F350 recommendation apply to the current listing, not independently verified V2 specifications.
  • Verify that the intended site can accommodate delivery, placement, utility connections and any local requirements for a tiny home on a trailer.
