Elgato’s Embrace has the features and published dimensions to make it a credible high-end office-chair contender, but the available evidence does not show that it matches or outperforms Herman Miller’s Embody. Embrace is Elgato’s first studio chair, announced on October 10, 2025. Its specifications give buyers useful information about adjustments and fit; they do not establish comfort, durability, or a performance win in a direct comparison.
What Elgato Embrace offers
Elgato and CORSAIR position Embrace for creators, professionals, and others who spend long periods at a desk. The announced design includes a mesh back, waterfall seat edge, adjustable lumbar support, independent seat-height and seat-depth adjustment, recline and tilt control, and adjustable armrests. CORSAIR’s US listing specifies 4D armrests, a tilt limiter, and an optional headrest. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independently tested findings. CORSAIR’s October 10, 2025 announcement and US product listing describe the chair and its features.
Published dimensions and adjustment range
Elgato’s technical specifications provide a starting point for checking whether the chair may fit your desk and body. The figures below are manufacturer-published specifications; they have not been independently measured.
| Specification | Elgato-published value |
|---|---|
| Maximum load | 125 kg / 275 lb |
| Overall dimensions | 660 × 710 × 1410 mm (25.98 × 27.95 × 55.51 in) |
| Product weight | 24.02 kg (52.95 lb) |
| Seat height | 45–57 cm (17.7–22.4 in) |
| Seat width | 49 cm (19.3 in) |
| Seat depth | 42–49 cm (16.5–19.3 in) |
| Backstop angles | Five positions: +30°, +25°, +15°, +10°, and 0° |
The seat-height and seat-depth ranges let shoppers compare the chair with their own measurements and preferred desk setup. They cannot tell you whether the lumbar support, seat shape, or armrests will feel right; fit and comfort depend on the individual. See Elgato’s product page for current product details and technical specifications for the published measurements.

#1 Best Overall
- RHYTHM fabric is tight, smooth soft to the touch, and prevents heat buildup
- INNOVATIVE ERGONOMIC DESIGN - More than 20 physicians and PhDs in the fields of biomechanics, vision, physical therapy, and ergonomics contributed their expertise to help guide the development of this chair. As a result, Embody has set a new benchmark for pressure distribution, natural alignment, and support for healthy movement in ergonomic seating.
- BACKFIT ADJUSTMENT - Embody’s back is designed like a human’s, with a central spine and flexible ribs. The Backfit adjustment allows you to position the backrest in line with your spine’s natural curve, so you achieve a neutral, balanced posture. Once the chair is tuned to fit you, the backrest adapts to your movement, adjusting automatically to your shifting positions. Whether you lean forward or recline, support remains constant.
- FEATURES: tilt limiter, adjustable Seat Depth, fully adjustable arms, graphite base and frame, Black arm pads, and carpet casters
- PIXELATED SUPPORT - You feel Embody’s Pixelated Support the moment you sit down—a sense that you are floating, yet perfectly balanced. Thanks to a dynamic matrix of pixels, Embody’s seat and back surfaces automatically conform to your body’s micro-movements, distributing your weight evenly as you sit. This reduces pressure and encourages movement, both of which are key to maintaining healthy circulation and focus.
How the Herman Miller Embody comparison holds up
Herman Miller’s official Embody page names Bill Stumpf and Jeff Weber as the chair’s designers and describes its intended support for pressure distribution, natural alignment, and movement. That information describes the Embody’s design aims; it is not a matched test against Embrace. Herman Miller’s Embody page does not establish that Embrace is equivalent, superior, or a replacement.
A meaningful comparison would need both chairs evaluated in the same market and configuration, with comparable information about price, dimensions, adjustment controls, materials, warranty, independently measured durability, and how well each fits different users. The available official product information does not provide that head-to-head evidence. CORSAIR quotes Elgato Product Manager Jeff Stegner describing the goal as “the type of ergonomic performance usually reserved for high-end chairs,” but that is the company’s stated intent, not an independent result.

Elgato’s product page states a two-year limited warranty. Review the current warranty terms for your region and purchase before relying on that coverage. The specification page lists the headrest, backrest, seat with arms attached, gas lift cylinder, base, five casters, screws, and Allen wrench as included items. The included wrench covers basic assembly; the published materials do not establish a need for a separate dedicated tool. Elgato’s technical specifications list the box contents.
