If you want a walking pad with a handle bar, compare the rail design, walking area, speed, weight capacity and storage dimensions—not just the word “handle.” The WalkingPad R3 Hybrid+ and R2 offer adjustable handrails and folding designs; the New Image FITT Mill has front and side handrails, but its reviewer found it difficult to store. These are different options, not a universal ranking: choose based on how you plan to use the machine and the space and support you need.
What a handle does—and what it does not prove
Walking pads use “handle” to describe different arrangements. The R3 Hybrid+ has an adjustable handrail and folding side handles; the R2 has an adjustable handrail; and Woman & Home’s review describes the FITT Mill as having front and side handrails plus a magnetic safety clip. Check rail position, adjustability and what is included in the exact listing.
A rail gives you a place to hold, but the product information and review cited here do not establish that a handrail prevents falls or makes a walking pad appropriate for every mobility or rehabilitation need. If you need equipment for a medical or rehabilitation purpose, ask a qualified clinician what features are appropriate for you.

Choose by how you will use it
For walking with a reachable handrail
Compare rail height and placement in the exact product images or listing, and check whether the rail adjusts. “Adjustable” does not tell you whether a given height or position will suit you. If possible, confirm the dimensions against the user and the intended setup before buying.
For faster walking or jogging
The R3 Hybrid+ and R2 list maximum speeds of 7.5 mph, while the FITT Mill review lists up to 12 km/h. Maximum speed alone does not establish that a walking pad is the right machine for running: belt dimensions, intended use and the user’s needs matter too. Woman & Home’s reviewer recommends a proper treadmill for readers whose main goal is running.
For a particular user capacity or belt fit
Check the rated capacity and belt width and length together. The R3 page lists a 265 lb maximum user weight; the R2 technical parameters list 240 lb, while its selector shows 242 lb. Those are manufacturer-listed figures, not a substitute for verifying the specific model configuration. The FITT Mill review does not state a capacity, so do not assume one from its dimensions or speed.

Measure the room and the storage route
Compare the machine’s footprint when open with its folded dimensions, weight and the route it must take to storage. A foldable frame may reduce the storage footprint but does not make a heavy machine easy to lift or move. The R2 is listed at 81 lb and folds to 39 x 28 x 6 inches. Woman & Home lists the FITT Mill at 34 kg and says its reviewer found it heavier than other pads and difficult to store. The R3 page describes a foldable frame but does not state folded dimensions or machine weight.
Before ordering, measure the intended walking space and storage location, including clearance for the rail and access around the machine. Confirm the folded measurements and whether the product needs to be lifted, wheeled or carried; do not rely on “compact” alone.
Do not assume a separate handle will fit
A handle sold separately is only an option when compatibility is established for the exact model. Woman & Home’s review says the BodyMax WP60 does not include a handrail, and that a compatible handle can be purchased separately. The review lists the WP60’s speed as 0.5–6 km/h and folded dimensions as 82 x 55 x 13 cm. That accessory route is specific to the WP60; it does not establish compatibility with other walking pads.
