For example, Comphy lists its Euro sham as a 26 × 26-inch inside size and a 30 × 30-inch outside size. Those measurements describe different things; use the maker’s fit notes to confirm compatibility.
How many Euro pillows do I need?
Euro pillows are commonly used as the decorative back layer of a bed, behind sleeping pillows. One Affirmation’s guide suggests two for a queen and three for a king, but these are styling suggestions, not requirements. Choose a count that suits the bed’s width and headboard proportions; one pillow or a different arrangement may work better for your room.

Start with fit
Check the insert’s listed dimensions and the sham maker’s stated insert compatibility. Compare disclosed fill and shell
Fill preference is one useful distinction. Comphy lists a down-alternative LuxLoft Cluster fill, while McGee & Co. lists 95% feather and 5% down. Both specify cotton shells. These vendor-published details let you compare the stated materials, but they are not results from a controlled performance comparison.
Follow care instructions for each item
The Comphy and McGee & Co. insert listings say spot clean only. A sham has its own care directions: follow those for the cover rather than assuming the insert’s instructions apply. Comphy provides separate laundering guidance for its sham.
