The right portable drink mixer depends on what you want to put in it. A cordless blender can process cut fruit and other whole ingredients into smoothies; a shaker bottle mixes powders and liquids but does not blend fruit. These options are therefore not substitutes. The products below are compared by their stated capacity, charging, care instructions, and intended use—not by head-to-head testing. Manufacturer claims are identified as such.
Choose a blender for ingredients, a shaker for powders
If you want smoothies made with cut fruit or other whole ingredients, look at a cordless blender. If your usual drink is protein powder mixed with water or milk, a shaker bottle is simpler and avoids a blender’s blade and motor. What to know about each option
Xiaomi Portable Blender: compact capacity with explicit ingredient limits
Xiaomi lists a 300 mL capacity, a 45 W motor, and a no-load speed of 19,500 rpm ±10%. The speed figure is a manufacturer specification measured without load, not a measure of blending performance with ingredients. Xiaomi claims 12 cups per full charge under its own stated test method; that figure should not be compared directly with another brand’s count as if conditions were identical. Xiaomi product page
Xiaomi’s support guidance says to cut ingredients small, keep contents within capacity, and avoid liquids above 45°C. Use small ice pieces with other ingredients rather than blending ice alone; the FAQ cautions against large or standalone ice cubes. The blender runs for 40 seconds at a time and needs a five-minute cooldown after three continuous cycles. Xiaomi also says not to wash it in a dishwasher or immerse it. Hamilton Beach Blend Now 51180: sip-through lid and removable parts
Hamilton Beach specifies a shatterproof 16 oz jar, USB charging, and a sip-through travel lid. It describes the jar, lid, and blade guard as dishwasher-safe and lists replacement drinking lids and blender jars, useful if a travel lid or jar needs replacing. The brand claims up to 28 protein shakes on one full charge and lists a one-year limited warranty; both are manufacturer-provided terms, not independently verified performance or coverage. PROMiXX Fuel & Blend System: a blender and a separate powder shaker
This bundle pairs the Sense cordless blender for whole ingredients with the Pursuit Ecozen shaker for mixing on the move. PROMiXX describes Sense as having automatic blade-speed adjustment, an anti-jam system, USB-C charging, a safety lock, and a self-cleaning cycle. Those are manufacturer descriptions; the cited page does not state a blend count per charge. PROMiXX advises rinsing the shaker promptly, hand-washing electrical components, and never submerging the motor base or charging port. Its cited page lists a one-year limited warranty for electrical products and a lifetime warranty for non-electrical products. Review the current terms for your market and product before relying on that coverage.
Dreame PortFresh: multiple modes, with charging lockout
Dreame lists five programs—blend, smoothie, crush, pulse, and clean—and describes uses such as iced coffee, sauces, dressings, and smoothies. The product page warns that results depend on the type, size, and quantity of ingredients. It also states that the blender will not operate while charging, so plan to charge it before use. Vitamix Ion: larger stated container and a stated charge count
Vitamix describes Ion as a one-button cordless blender with a 24-ounce travel container, USB-C charging, and a BPA-free bottle it says is dishwasher-safe. Vitamix claims 20 blends per charge and lists a two-year limited warranty. Confirm current specifications, availability, and warranty terms for your market on the manufacturer’s page. Vitamix Ion

- For protein powder or similar mixes: choose a shaker if you do not need to process whole ingredients. The Pursuit Ecozen is the documented shaker option here; it does not blend fruit.
- For smoothies in a small portion: Xiaomi’s listed 300 mL capacity is the smallest stated container among the models with a documented capacity, and its guidance places clear limits on temperature, ice, and cycle time.
- For a sip-as-you-go blender jar: Hamilton Beach explicitly lists a sip-through travel lid and replacement lids and jars.
- For a larger listed container: Vitamix states 24 ounces for Ion. PROMiXX lists 26 oz/760 mL for the bundle, but does not clarify that as the capacity of one individual vessel.
- For dishwasher cleaning: Hamilton Beach identifies specific removable parts as dishwasher-safe, while Vitamix describes its bottle as dishwasher-safe. Xiaomi prohibits dishwasher cleaning, and PROMiXX says to hand-wash electrical components and keep the motor base and charging port out of water.
- For a charging-related safety detail: Dreame says PortFresh will not run while charging. Xiaomi instead specifies run-time and cooldown guidance; follow each product’s own instructions rather than assuming they share operating limits.
Why there is no proven overall winner
The available manufacturer pages provide specifications, care instructions, warranty statements, and claims such as blends or shakes per charge. They do not establish a controlled comparison of blending quality, battery endurance, leak resistance, or durability across these models. Xiaomi cites a laboratory measurement for its no-load motor speed, but that is not an independent head-to-head product test. Treat the shortlist as a way to match a design to your ingredients and cleaning preferences, not as a verified ranking.
