The Aldi deal on Koh Universal Cleaner was a dated promotion, not a current offer: PerthNow reported that Aldi planned to sell the Koh Surface Essentials Kit for $32.99 on January 27, 2024. The report compared that price with Koh’s then-listed $55.90 website price, but those figures do not establish a current saving or current Aldi availability.
What Aldi’s 2024 promotion included
PerthNow’s January 16, 2024 report said its information came from the latest Aldi catalogue posted in the Aldi Mums Facebook group. It listed three items scheduled for January 27, 2024:
| Item | Reported Aldi price | What the report establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Koh Surface Essentials Kit | $32.99 | PerthNow compared this with a then-current Koh website price of $55.90; the dated comparison is not a current saving. |
| Koh spray mop | $39.99 | Price reported by PerthNow for the promotion. |
| Koh Universal Cleaner refill pouch, 1.8L | $9.99 | Price and volume reported by PerthNow for the promotion. |
The article does not establish the kit’s exact contents, whether every store carried the items, or whether the promotion was extended. For a present-day purchase, check the local Aldi catalogue and store availability; Aldi notes that local prices and ranges may change. Its current listings for other cleaners, including Power Force Pro and Green Action, do not show that Koh is currently on offer.
What “chemical-free” means here
“Chemical-free” is not a literal description of Koh Universal Cleaner. Koh describes its formula as two ingredients: potassium hydroxide and purified water. The company also says the cleaner is fragrance-free, GECA eco-certified and approved by Sensitive Choice; these are manufacturer claims, not independent product testing established here. Where Koh says the cleaner can be used
Koh says Universal Cleaner can be used on household surfaces and materials including glass, textiles and wood. That is manufacturer guidance, not a guarantee that every finish or fabric is suitable. Follow the product label’s directions for the specific surface, and check compatibility before applying a cleaner to a delicate or finished material.
Koh’s product page offers the cleaner in 2L and 4L sizes. These sizes are separate from the 1.8L refill pouch that PerthNow listed in the 2024 Aldi promotion, so compare volume and exact product format before treating prices as equivalent.

What the reported ratings and awards establish
Koh’s product page, accessed October 7, 2026, displays a 4.7/5 rating from 120K+ reviews and says the cleaner was Canstar Blue’s number-one Multipurpose Cleaner in 2022 and 2023. Those figures are presented by Koh; the review total is not an independently audited statistic here. PerthNow’s January 2024 report cited more than 83,000 five-star reviews at that time, a historical figure that should not be read as the current review count. Koh’s product page and claims

How to assess a current offer
- Confirm the offer date and stock in your local Aldi catalogue or store.
- Check the exact kit contents and whether accessories such as a mop are included.
- Compare matching cleaner volumes and formats; a kit price is not directly comparable with a refill price.
- Use current prices from the seller when calculating any saving. The $32.99 Aldi price and $55.90 Koh website price were reported in connection with January 2024 and do not establish today’s price difference.
