That larger figure was the asking price. Realtor.com reported the accepted offer on October 7, 2025, roughly three months after the estate was listed.
What was the reported sale price?
Realtor.com reported on October 7, 2025, that Levine and Prinsloo had accepted an offer of $60 million. Architectural Digest reported that the property was listed on July 7, 2025, for $65 million. The reported offer was therefore $5 million below the asking price; neither figure should be mistaken for a confirmed closing price, since the cited coverage described an accepted offer.
Realtor.com also reported that the couple bought the estate in an off-market deal for $52 million in 2022. The $8 million difference between that reported purchase price and the reported offer is not a verified net profit: it does not account for renovation costs, taxes, commissions, or other expenses.
What was the Montecito estate like?
Architectural Digest described the Georgian-style home as 11,500 square feet on 3.41 acres. The property included nine bedrooms, a guesthouse, a pool, a tennis court, a gym, a theater, gardens, and mountain and ocean views. Realtor.com described additional features including two guesthouses, a catering kitchen, a vegetable garden, a chicken coop, and a koi pond.

The published bathroom counts differ: Architectural Digest reported 14, while Realtor.com reported 10.5. Because the sources do not agree, a single unqualified count would be misleading.
Why were Levine and Prinsloo moving?
In its July 7, 2025, coverage, Architectural Digest attributed the move to a desire to live closer to the children’s school. The publication said a family representative described the new home as “too special to resist.” Architectural Digest did not identify that representative, and the remark was not a direct explanation of the sale price.
What did they buy next?
In a separate report published December 11, 2025, Realtor.com identified the “special” new home as a Spanish-style property Oprah Winfrey sold to the couple for $17.27 million. The report also described a separate nearby purchase for $12.5 million. Those were distinct transactions, not part of the reported $60 million offer for the former estate.

The $65 million asking price and $60 million accepted offer are figures reported by Architectural Digest and Realtor.com in 2025, respectively. The $52 million purchase price is Realtor.com’s account of the 2022 off-market deal. These are property-specific reports, not evidence of a broader Montecito market trend. Realtor.com’s stated $8 million difference between purchase price and offer is a simple subtraction, not a measure of the couple’s net proceeds or profit.
The transaction and property details here come from media reports, not an independently reviewed deed or current listing record. The accepted offer is reported as of October 7, 2025; the later purchase details reflect Realtor.com’s December 11, 2025, report.
