The Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) is an international awards program recognizing work across architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, architectural product design, and architectural photography. Its 2026 entries are closed and jurying is underway, according to the program’s current homepage. Here’s how AMP describes its judging, what entrants should know about fees, and what is confirmed about the current cycle.
What is the Architecture MasterPrize?
AMP says its mission is “to advance the appreciation of quality architectural design worldwide.” The program accepts submissions from around the world across architecture and related design disciplines. AMP reports that submissions for its 2025 edition came from 72 countries; that is the organization’s own reported figure, not an independently verified participation count. The breadth of categories means AMP is not limited to building design: interior, landscape, product, and photography work are also within its stated scope. Entrants should check the relevant category’s current eligibility rules and submission requirements rather than assume that one set of criteria applies to every discipline.
How AMP says judging works
AMP describes a staged process on its official information page. Entries first go through selection for the AMP Official Selection longlist. In the next stage, entries are assigned to jurors according to expertise and scored. AMP says the highest-scoring work is considered for Best of Best, with additional jury review for Design of the Year nominations.

#1 Best Overall
The program says jurors assess design excellence in areas including aesthetics, environmental impact, culture, and context. It also lists originality, practicality, functional requirements, sustainability, and environmental considerations. AMP describes its jury as architects and leaders in the architecture world. The listed criteria indicate that the program considers more than appearance alone, but they do not provide a scoring rubric or comparative outcome data for entrants to predict results.
2026 cycle: entries are closed
AMP’s homepage states that 2026 entries are closed and jurying is underway. Its FAQ says winners are announced four to six weeks after submissions close, but the official material does not give a confirmed announcement date for the 2026 edition. Check the AMP homepage for updates rather than treating that general timeframe as a specific date.
The same homepage announces a 2025/26 winners gala at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao on Tuesday, November 24, 2026. It describes the event as invitation-only and presented in partnership with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. Because the event date is still in the future, confirm current details with AMP before making plans.
How much are the submission fees?
AMP does not publish one universal fee. Its information page shows different amounts by program, category, entrant type, and submission phase. The figures below are the amounts stated on that page; they should not be assumed to remain current or to apply to every entrant.
| Program or entry type | Fee stated by AMP | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Design of the Year early entry | Starting at €264 ($315) per category | AMP states this includes a 30% discount. |
| Professional architecture entry | €375 ($450) | Regular fee listed on AMP’s information page. |
| Professional product design entry | €252 ($300) | Regular fee listed on AMP’s information page. |
| Student entries | Separate student amounts | Consult AMP’s information page for the relevant program and category amount. |
| Firm of the Year | Not a single fixed amount | AMP says pricing depends on firm size, categories, and deadlines. |
AMP also describes discounts for additional categories. Before budgeting or submitting, verify the fee for the exact program and category, the entrant type, and the entry phase on the current official fee page.

AMP says the initial entry description is limited to 600 characters. It may be used publicly on the winner’s page and in the winners book, so entrants should treat it as public-facing copy rather than a private note. The official page mentions a winners book, but does not establish that it is currently sold through Amazon. AMP submission information.
Before deciding whether to enter, compare the chosen category’s eligibility and project requirements with the fee and deadline for that phase. Also consider whether the stated judging criteria and the award’s publicity benefits—AMP says winners receive a trophy and worldwide exposure for their designs—are relevant to the project or practice.
