That decision removes one federal review hurdle; it does not establish that construction has started or confirm that all local approvals and permits are complete. A September 21, 2026 petition for reconsideration was also reported, and its disposition has not been verified.
What the FCC reportedly decided
Journalaz.com reported on October 6, 2026, that the FCC Wireless Telecommunications Bureau issued a decision on August 21 denying or dismissing challenges that sought additional environmental review of the proposed project. The report quotes the FCC’s conclusion as: “an EA is not required for this project.” The underlying FCC order is not available in the sources cited here, so the decision’s precise reasoning and procedural scope should be understood as reported by the local outlet. Read the Journalaz.com report.
An environmental assessment (EA) is part of federal environmental review. The reported decision means the FCC did not require an EA for this proposal; it is not a general finding that every concern raised by residents is unfounded, nor does it amount to a construction permit.
Where the tower is proposed and what is known about its size
The proposal is associated with SQF LLC and Tilson Technology Management and was filed in 2022. Journalaz.com describes it as a 100-foot “monoelm”—a tower designed to resemble a tree—on commercially zoned property at 9420 Cornville Road. The local report and FCC.report’s index of antenna structure registration 1334611 provide different measurements: the index lists a structure height of 29.900 meters and an overall height of 30.500 meters. Those are distinct registry fields and should not be treated as interchangeable with the report’s 100-foot description.

What concerns opponents raised
According to Journalaz.com, opponents challenged the project on grounds that included endangered species, migratory birds, radiofrequency (RF) radiation, cultural and historic resources, aesthetics, and alleged bad faith. The report says the FCC rejected or dismissed arguments, including on scope or threshold grounds. That reported outcome is specific to the agency’s review of this proposal; it does not establish that such issues are universally without merit.
The report also says the Arizona State Historic Preservation Office ultimately made a “no adverse effect” finding after a Hopi cultural survey found no cultural resources at the site. It says the FCC contacted the Hopi Tribe three times during 2025–2026 without receiving a response. These consultation details are reported by Journalaz.com; the underlying order and consultation documents have not been independently verified here. See the report for its account of the review.

- 5G Compatible:Cell phone booster support 5G and deliver amazing speeds; Only 5G that carriers have deployed in large numbers in existing 4G brands through DSS (Dynamic Spectrum Sharing), the FCC has not yet allowed the new mmWave 600MHz cellular enhancers, so if you must use 5G, Make sure your area has 5G services in the existing 4G band before you purchase.
- Eay Installation Keep the power is off during installing/adjusting antennas. Simply set up the outdoor Log-periodic antenna, and place signal booster where you want. Make sure the distance between the outdoor antenna and indoor antenna should be about 32ft. Following the user manual, you can easily set it up.
- FCC & IC Certified: :Cell booster complies with all FCC and IC guidelines and meet the requirements of application standards, does not interrupt or compromise any carrier's signal to and from the cell tower.
The Cornville Community and Infrastructure Preservation group describes the site as behind the post office and nearby businesses, across from Runnin’ W Wildlife Center, and near Desert Star Kindergarten. Those proximity descriptions are the advocacy group’s claims, not independently verified measurements. Cornville CCIP.
Federal environmental review is not the same as local construction approval
The FCC decision concerns federal environmental review. It should not be read as proof that local zoning, building plans, permits, or other county requirements have been satisfied. A county-hosted archived planning record surfaced with public comments and recommended conditions on plans, lighting, landscaping, signage, and permits, but its title identifies it as a Coconino County archive copy. It does not establish the status of the relevant Yavapai County record or the project’s current local approvals.

Has construction started?
Current construction status has not been verified. A 2022 Form 620 screening report reproduced on an advocacy group’s website said construction had commenced but was incomplete when that filing was prepared. That historical statement cannot establish whether work is underway now or whether the project has been completed. The advocacy group’s project page.
There is also a reported procedural development after the FCC decision: Journalaz.com says a petition for reconsideration was filed on September 21, 2026. Its later disposition has not been verified, so the available record does not establish that the matter is conclusively final. Journalaz.com’s October 6 report.

- WHAT IS IT?: The strongest outdoor antenna for cell phone signal booster kits, featuring a parabolic grid with gains of up to +26 dB. This cell phone booster antenna has an ultra long range (20 miles) with high gain and directionality on all frequencies between 600 MHz and 6500MHz. This cell phone antenna has been optimized for lower or upper portions of the ultra-wide bandwidth. All cellular bands: LTE, GSM, ISM, CDMA, UMTS, 2G/3G/4G/5G; WiFi and all carriers: T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T.
- BENEFIT: This outdoor ultra-wideband antenna is 6 times more powerful than other antennas that come with any cell phone booster kit. By putting more directional gain on your antenna, you’re able to increase your signal quality, reach farther to the cell tower, and dramatically increase your booster’s performance. The radiation cone (between 4 to 20 degrees) of this directional cell phone antenna allows a narrow, fine-tuned, and farther aim than most wideband antennas
- WHO IS THIS FOR?: For those needing a Weatherproof long-range outdoor antenna. If you live in a very rural area with spotty to no cell signal, this wideband cellular antenna allows you to find towers up to 20 miles away compared to the 2 to 5 mile reach of an omnidirectional or yagi antenna. This cell phone antenna booster is ideal for weak cell phone signal areas who have trouble even reaching their nearest cell tower. For those who want to increase the output of an existing booster system.
- THINGS TO CONSIDER: This external directional antenna 4G LTE requires a signal booster amplifier. The cell phone antenna extender works with all cell phone signal boosters brands: weBoost, SureCall, Cel-Fi, etc., WiFi boosters, and hotspot boosters (Pepwave, MoFi, Netgear Nighthawk, etc). Assembly is required. Tools Required: 10mm wrench, socket, or nut driver, or alternatively an adjustable wrench or pliers to set up. Mount and cables NOT included. Outdoor cell phone antenna
- REQUIRES A SIGNAL BOSTER: This long-range cellular antenna is an aftermarket product that upgrades most signal booster KITs and is very directional, so in order to increase the reach and gain of the antenna, its beam has been narrowed to around 10 degrees (the typical yagi has a radiation pattern of around 45 degrees). This cellular antenna range booster is like a laser pointer that maintains the strength of its beam from a great distance but needs to be aimed much more carefully.
Do not confuse this project with the Station 32 proposal
This is the SQF LLC proposal at 9420 Cornville Road. It is separate from a proposal by Maverick Towers LLC for a tower at Verde Valley Fire District Station 32. Cornville CCIP reported that Maverick withdrew the Station 32 proposal in June 2024. Cornville CCIP.
