The partners broke ground on October 6, 2026, and expect to welcome the first guests in summer 2027; no specific opening date has been announced.
Where is the new Topgolf being built?
The venue is planned for the Valley Children’s Hospital campus in Madera. Topgolf and Valley Children’s describe it as Topgolf San Joaquin Valley and as the first major tenant in the campus’s planned mixed-use development. The partners’ October 6, 2026 announcement says construction is underway.
When will Topgolf in Madera open?
The current target is summer 2027, according to the partners’ announcement. That is an expected opening window, not a confirmed date. The announcement did not provide hours, prices, reservation details or parking instructions.
What will the venue include?
The announced plan describes a two-level venue with 72 climate-controlled hitting bays, a full-service restaurant and bar, an arcade, a patio and a family-friendly mini golf course. The announcement calls the design first-of-its-kind for California. These are project specifications; the partners have not announced additional operating details.

- The Strata 12-Piece Men's is designed to give you maximum performance right out of the box for more confidence from tee-to-green. The lightweight 460cc forged driver, fairway wood, hybrid, irons and putter make up a set that provides a great combination of distance, forgiveness and control, and is very easy to hit.
How does Topgolf fit into Valley Children’s development?
Valley Children’s introduced The Hill as a planned mixed-use development on its campus. Its August 28, 2024 plan described potential retail, hospitality, recreation, residential, healthcare, office and outdoor spaces. The 2026 announcement presents Topgolf as the first major tenant and describes a wider community vision that includes retail, dining, hospitality and entertainment.
The broader concept is not solely a retail project: the 2024 plan also included healthcare and other uses. The partners have not announced a complete roster of committed tenants or delivery dates for the other components, so the wider development remains a plan rather than a confirmed construction schedule.

What the partnership announcement does—and does not—establish
Valley Children’s said the partnership is intended to help strengthen its foundation to deliver programs and care. Topgolf described the partnership as aligned with its goal of bringing people together. Those statements describe the organizations’ aims; the announcement does not quantify how much revenue or funding the venue may generate for the hospital, or establish a measured healthcare or economic outcome.
The partners also describe this as Topgolf’s first partnership with a children’s hospital. The announcement does not provide financial projections for the venue.
