For many ONE+ users, the 6Ah PBP007 is a lower-cost option to consider: Ryobi’s U.S. product page described it as a higher-capacity battery with longer runtime and more power for a variety of ONE+ products.
At the time of review on October 7, 2026, Ryobi’s U.S. pages displayed single-pack prices of $269 for the 12Ah PBP1112 and $159 for the 6Ah PBP007. Those are time-sensitive manufacturer-page prices, not guaranteed current prices or independent value comparisons.
What is Ryobi’s biggest 18V battery?
The 12Ah EDGE PBP1112 is Ryobi’s highest-capacity 18V ONE+ battery in the product information covered here. Ryobi states that it “delivers the longest runtime in the ONE+ system.” That is a manufacturer claim, not an independently measured comparison of runtime across tools. Ryobi says ONE+ batteries work with any RYOBI 18V ONE+ product. That establishes system compatibility, but it does not mean the biggest pack is the best fit for every task or tool.

Is the Ryobi 12Ah battery worth it?
Choose the 12Ah pack if your particular job benefits from the longest runtime Ryobi claims is available in ONE+. That can matter when staying on the task without stopping to swap or recharge packs is a priority. Whether that benefit justifies the displayed $269 price depends on your tool and workload.
If you do not need maximum capacity, the 12Ah pack is not an automatic upgrade. The product information available here does not establish a head-to-head runtime, weight, dimensions, or ergonomics comparison against the 6Ah pack, so those are not grounds for claiming either one is superior.

Before buying, check whether the maker gives a battery-capacity recommendation for your exact tool. If there is no tool-specific guidance, choose based on how much uninterrupted runtime you need rather than assuming the highest Ah rating is necessary.

- Start with your tool. Confirm it is an 18V ONE+ product and check for a model-specific battery recommendation.
- Estimate the runtime your job needs. If avoiding battery changes is central to the task, the 12Ah pack is the option Ryobi identifies as having the system’s longest runtime.
- Compare the listed price for the exact pack. The U.S. pages displayed $269 for PBP1112 and $159 for PBP007 on October 7, 2026; check the pages for current pricing before purchase.
- Choose the least capacity that meets your need. If the task does not call for maximum runtime, consider the 6Ah PBP007 rather than paying for the 12Ah pack by default.
