Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials on October 3, 2026, to accelerate construction at four hospital projects: TIMS facilities in LB Nagar and Alwal, the Warangal super-speciality hospital, and the new Osmania General Hospital in Goshamahal. The direction sets no new completion date, and the report does not say that any of the projects is complete.
Which four hospital projects are being expedited?
- Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) hospital in LB Nagar.
- TIMS hospital in Alwal.
- Warangal super-speciality hospital.
- New Osmania General Hospital in Goshamahal.
The Times of India reported this project list on October 3, 2026, following a review by the Chief Minister and Chief Minister’s Office officials. Source: The Times of India, October 3, 2026.
What did the Chief Minister direct officials to do?
Accelerate construction
Revanth Reddy called for work to be expedited, but the report supplies no revised construction deadline, completion percentage or project-by-project opening date. The direction should not be read as confirmation that construction has finished. The Times of India, October 3, 2026.
Prepare staffing in advance
The Chief Minister directed Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju to identify requirements for doctors and support staff and begin recruitment planning early, with the aim of having adequate staff when the hospitals are completed. The report describes planning, not confirmed hiring. Revanth Reddy was quoted as saying, “There should be no shortage of staff by the time the hospitals are completed.” The Times of India, October 3, 2026.

Why does an earlier report list different hospitals?
A Times of India report dated July 6, 2025 described a different group of four: TIMS hospitals in Sanathnagar, Alwal and Kothapet, plus the Warangal multi-super-speciality hospital. The October 2026 report instead names LB Nagar and Alwal TIMS, Warangal and the new Osmania Hospital in Goshamahal. The reports do not explain the change in grouping, so the earlier list should not be substituted for the current one. Its year-end opening expectation was reported in 2025 and is not a current deadline. The Times of India, July 6, 2025.
