What the 2023 Westlake Royal announcement confirms
In its November 28, 2023 announcement, Westlake Royal Building Products described an expanded partnership with U.S. LUMBER and Amerhart, identifying both as Specialty Building Products (SBP) brands. The release named expanded distribution for four product lines:
- Versetta Stone
- SkyTrim
- Royal Trim & Mouldings
- Cedar Renditions
The states named were Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. The announcement does not name Austin, Texas, or US Lumber Brokers. Westlake Royal’s Bill Conlon described the arrangement as a way to provide customers with more customized solutions through the expanded partnership; the release does not say that distribution extends to every U.S. market.
Does the announcement establish coverage in Austin or nearby Texas communities?
No. Texas and Austin do not appear in the 2023 release’s stated geography, so it cannot substantiate a claim that this partnership serves Austin or surrounding communities. The Westlake Royal news archive also did not surface a separate Austin-specific announcement in the material checked. That does not prove no such announcement exists; it means the Austin claim remains unverified by these official sources.

To confirm local availability, builders and contractors should ask the relevant company or an authorized local distributor directly about the specific product and service area. A distributor relationship in other states does not by itself establish Texas availability.
Is US Lumber Brokers the same company as U.S. LUMBER?
The announcements do not establish that US Lumber Brokers and U.S. LUMBER are the same entity. The 2023 release uses the styling “U.S. LUMBER” and identifies it as an SBP brand. Without a primary company statement or other reliable evidence linking the names, they should not be treated as interchangeable.

What the earlier 2014 announcement says—and what it does not
A March 31, 2014 Westlake announcement said Royal Building Products had added U.S. Lumber to its Southeast and Mid-Atlantic distribution network. It listed Royal trim and moulding profiles, Royal Trimboard sheet stock, fascia, window and door surrounds, and decorative moulding.
That release is historical evidence of a U.S. Lumber distribution relationship for those product lines and regions at the time. It does not name Austin or Texas, and it should not be read as proof of current territory or product availability. It is also distinct from the 2023 expansion, which names additional product brands and a different set of states.
