As of Anoka County’s Construction Weekly update for the week ending October 2, 2026, several projects had completed paving or curb work, while others were just starting or scheduled to begin. Sims Road (County Road 86) remained closed until further notice, with no reopening date confirmed in that update. Construction schedules and detours can change; check the county’s current Construction Weekly and Detours pages before traveling. The county says it publishes Construction Weekly each week during construction season.

Work reported on 40th and 109th avenues

40th Avenue (CSAH 2)

On 40th Avenue between Main Street and TH 47 (University Avenue), the contractor had started installing storm sewer during the week ending October 2. More storm sewer work and relocation of a fire hydrant at 3rd Street were scheduled for the following week; the update does not confirm those tasks were completed.

109th Avenue (CSAH 12)

The county reported that concrete curb had been installed on 109th Avenue and Mankato Street, near CSAH 52 (Radisson Road). Separately, a two-inch bituminous overlay was scheduled to start October 12. That date was a planned start, not a confirmation that overlay work began.

County-wide pavement projects

CSAH 7 (7th Avenue)

Bituminous pavement installation from 145th Avenue to 1,130 feet north of 165th Avenue was complete. Pavement markings were planned for the following week.
