Andaman Chronicle reported on October 6, 2026, that Lieutenant Governor Dr. Dinesh Sharma approved two proposed facilities: an ice-production and cold-storage unit at Kamorta for the Nancowrie island fishing community, and an old-age home at Diglipur for identified orphaned elderly people from North and Middle Andaman. What is planned for the old-age home at Diglipur?
The same report describes a proposed residential facility at Diglipur for identified orphaned elderly people from North and Middle Andaman.
