Hassan Allam Construction and Sterling & Wilson have reportedly won an estimated SR750 million ($200 million) contract to build the first phase of a data centre in Riyadh. MEED reported on 6 October 2026 that the project is being developed by Saudi AI firm Humain and Center3, STC Group’s digital-infrastructure subsidiary.
What the construction contract covers
MEED reports that the award is for broad civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP), infrastructure and associated works. The report does not give the joint venture’s exact legal name or identify a primary award notice. Its SR750 million ($200 million) figure is an estimated contract value, not a confirmed final price.
The contractors are Hassan Allam Construction and Sterling & Wilson. Humain and Center3 are the project’s developers; they are not identified as the construction contractors.
Riyadh project capacity and schedule
Phase one
The first phase is reported to provide 16.2MW of IT load capacity. MEED says the phase is scheduled to take 16 months, but gives no start date, so a completion date cannot be calculated from the report.

- Save valuable floor space: 6U wall mount server cabinet Dimensions: 13.78" H x21.65" W x17.72" D.Maximum mounting depth is 14.2"
- Keep critical network equipment secure: glass door and side panels are lockable to prevent unauthorized access. Front door can be installed on either side of the front of the cabinet to satisfy your door swing orientation preference
- Easy equipment configuration: Fully adjustable mounting rails and numbered U positions, with square holes for easy equipment mounting with top and bottom punch-out panels for easy cable access
- Durability: Made of high quality cold rolled steel holds up to 110lb (50kg) (Easy Assembly Required)
- PCI & HIPPA and EIA/ECA-310-E compliant
Phase two and reported hall configuration
MEED says the project’s overall capacity will reach 50MW in phase two. It also describes the completed facility as having one 5MW standard-density hall and four high-density halls rated at 11.2MW each. The report does not explain how this hall configuration relates to the 50MW total, so the figures should be treated as separately reported details rather than reconciled into a single capacity figure.
How the Riyadh site fits Humain and Center3’s wider plans
The Riyadh development is part of a broader Saudi AI data-centre programme. MEED reports that Humain and Center3 partnered in December 2025 to develop and operate AI-focused data centres across the country, with planned capacity of up to 1GW. The programme’s first phase was described by the partners, as reported by MEED, as delivering up to 250MW for high-density AI workloads and large-scale model training.
