What the Tupperware Voila large rectangular container is
The large rectangular Voila is listed at 6.3 cups (1.5 L), with dimensions of 9.3 × 7.7 × 3.5 inches. Its base is borosilicate glass; the assembly also includes polypropylene (PP) and high-purity platinum silicone. The lid is not glass. Tupperware describes the range as intended for meal prep, baking, serving, storage, reheating and carrying meals, and highlights an easy-press airtight lid, microwave steam vent and stackable, nestable form. Is it non-toxic?
“Non-toxic” is broader than the evidence available for this container. Tupperware Brand states that “Our products in the US and Canada are made of BPA-free materials.” That is a company statement about those markets, not independent product-specific toxicology evidence and not proof that the full container assembly is free of every substance a reader might consider concerning. Tupperware’s BPA statement also says the company follows government-agency recommendations and guidelines; it does not supply independent chemical-migration testing or certification for this exact item.
Borosilicate describes the glass base only. The lid and seal involve other materials, so a buyer assessing the whole assembly should consider the PP and platinum silicone as well as the glass. The available product information identifies those materials but does not establish an all-chemicals safety verdict.

Oven, microwave and temperature-change rules
Tupperware lists the large rectangular glass base for refrigerator, freezer, microwave, oven and dishwasher use, with a stated temperature range of −13°F to 572°F (−25°C to 300°C). Its product page says: “Oven-safe up to 572°F (300°C): always remove the plastic airtight lid before baking or broiling.” This is manufacturer guidance for this model, not an independent test result.
- Oven: Remove the plastic lid before baking or broiling. The stated upper limit applies to the glass base, not the lid.
- Microwave: The glass base is listed for microwave use. If heating with the lid on, open the steam vent.
- Moving between cold and hot environments: Allow the glass 10 minutes at room temperature when moving it between freezer, refrigerator, oven or microwave conditions, as applicable. This reduces abrupt temperature change.
- Freezing liquids: Leave expansion room by filling only to the marked wavy fill line.
Follow the instructions on the specific product listing for this large rectangular model rather than assuming another Voila shape or size has identical limits.

Cleaning, seal and everyday handling
The product page says the steam vent and silicone gasket can be removed for deeper cleaning. Tupperware recommends storing the container with its lid off to reduce humidity. The lid is intended to provide an airtight closure, but no independent seal or leak test for this model is established in the available evidence; if carrying liquid, check that the lid is seated and the vent is closed when appropriate.
Price and availability
The large rectangular listing showed a $24 price and “Sale Sold Out” status when represented in the available search result. Who should consider it
This container may suit someone who wants one dish to move among storage, reheating and oven use, and who is comfortable removing and managing a separate lid. Before choosing it, compare the material of the base and lid, capacity and shape, closure needs, temperature instructions, removable cleaning parts, and current price and stock. Can I freeze liquids in this container?
Tupperware lists the glass base for freezer use and instructs users to leave expansion space up to the wavy fill line. Allow 10 minutes at room temperature when moving the glass between cold and hot environments.
Can the lid go in the oven?
