It does not establish a complete deed-by-deed inventory, so this is a documented timeline—not proof of every house he has owned.

Snedens Landing: the longtime reported home
Architectural Digest Middle East identifies a property in Snedens Landing, a hamlet in Palisades in Rockland County, as Pacino’s East Coast base. It reports that he purchased the approximately three-acre property in 1979 and still owns it. The house, built in 1971, is described as about 4,290 square feet, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms; its interiors have largely remained private.
Re-thinking the Future gives the reported 1979 purchase price as $375,000. That is a secondary-source account, not a figure independently confirmed here against a deed.
Two other reported Palisades-area properties were sold
The guesthouse
A separate guesthouse on a bluff above the Hudson River reportedly sold in 2013 for $3.3 million, according to Architectural Digest Middle East and Re-thinking the Future. Architectural Digest describes it as a 1941 house of about 4,340 square feet, with three bedrooms and four bathrooms. Its reported features include timber interiors, a curved staircase, a fireplace, French doors and a veranda. The sale details are media reports, not closing records verified here.

The smaller nearby home
Architectural Digest Middle East and Re-thinking the Future report that Pacino sold a nearby 1,578-square-foot house in 2010 for $580,000. Because the sources differ on its bathroom count, the reported size and sale price are more useful than a disputed room detail.
The Beverly Hills house was a rental, not an owned home
Pacino reportedly rented a house in the Beverly Hills Flats from 2006 until late 2024, for roughly 18 years. Architectural Digest Middle East reports that the property belonged to novelist Jackie Collins and that, after her death in 2015, it was part of a 2016 sale of two properties to developer Ben Nehmadi. The reported $9 million amount was attributed to Pacino’s rental house within that two-property purchase; it was not a price Pacino paid.
Rank #2
Mansion Global reported that the house was listed for $15.95 million in 2025. That was an asking price, not a confirmed sale price. The same outlet describes a 5,200-square-foot house on a 0.69-acre lot, built in 1922 and remodeled in 1938 by Douglas Honnold, with six bedrooms and six bathrooms. Architectural Digest gives an approximate size of 5,300 square feet and also describes six bedrooms; differences in reported area may reflect measurement conventions. Reported amenities include a wood-paneled great room, pool, cabana and tennis court.
Mansion Global quoted listing agent Bobby Syed saying he had been told Collins’s family had lived at the address before Pacino rented it. That is the agent’s account of what he was told, not a direct statement by Pacino or Collins.

Manhattan residences: reported apartments, unclear ownership
Architectural Digest Middle East associates Pacino with the Apthorp on the Upper West Side and with Central Park Place. It reports that he began living at Central Park Place in 1988 and occupied different apartments there through 2013; one was a two-bedroom, two-bathroom corner apartment on the 14th floor.
These accounts describe residences, not confirmed purchases or sales by Pacino. They do not establish a complete history of which units, if any, he owned. A separate secondary account of a Central Park South condominium sale in 2018 does not align clearly with the reported residence timeline, so it cannot fill that gap.

Two frequently confused claims
El Fureidis was a filming location
The Montecito estate El Fureidis is associated with Scarface because it was used as a filming location. Re-thinking the Future says the claim that Pacino personally owned it is incorrect. A screen location should not be treated as evidence of a residence or ownership.
A separate short Beverly Hills-area lease in 1998
A contemporaneous Los Angeles Times report from 1998 says Pacino leased a gated house in the Beverly Hills area for five weeks at $16,500 per month. It describes a 1940 house with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The report does not establish ownership or connect that short lease to the later Jackie Collins rental, so the two should be treated as separate reported stays.

What this timeline can—and cannot—confirm
The strongest documented outline is a reported longtime Snedens Landing property, two reported Palisades-area sales, a lengthy Beverly Hills rental, and Manhattan residences whose unit ownership is not established. The accounts are journalistic summaries rather than a complete public title search, and they do not prove that every home Pacino ever owned has been identified. No exact private-home addresses are needed to understand the timeline.
