The Associated Press reports that the family has a vacation property in Portugal. Follow-up coverage names Costa Terra, a resort area south of Lisbon, but the reviewed reporting does not establish an exact property, address or legal title documentation. Frogmore Cottage was described as the couple’s UK family home in a Buckingham Palace statement issued in January 2020, but that historical description does not establish that they owned it outright or that they live there now. TIME reported that they vacated the cottage in 2023 after the King asked them to leave.
