What each tool is good for
QUINN 21-piece socket and ratchet set: a compact fastener kit
The set includes SAE and metric sockets, a quick-release ratchet with reversible 72-tooth gearing, high-visibility size markings, and a cushion grip. At $19.99, it is the most broadly useful fastener kit on this list for light vehicle, home, or carry-along jobs. Its 1/4-inch drive is also its main constraint: it limits the socket sizes and torque capacity compared with larger-drive sets, so it is not the choice for high-torque work. Harbor Freight’s listing displayed 4.8 stars from 1,393 reviews. See Harbor Freight’s QUINN socket set listing.
QUINN 14-in-1 painter’s tool: paint-prep tasks in one handle
Harbor Freight lists functions for spreading, chisel scraping, opening paint cans, cleaning rollers, pulling nails, opening cracks, and using Phillips and flat bits, among others. The tool has a 3-inch stainless-steel blade and nonslip grip. It is a convenient paint-prep helper, not a substitute for every dedicated scraper, screwdriver, or other specialized tool. The listing showed $4.79 and 4.8 stars from 957 reviews. See Harbor Freight’s painter’s tool listing.
PITTSBURGH 24-inch aluminum level: for layout and alignment
The 24-inch level has vial orientations for 90°, 180°, and 45°. Harbor Freight specifies accuracy of 0.0005 inch per inch; that is the manufacturer’s product specification, not an independent accuracy test. The listing showed $19.99 and 4.7 stars from 228 reviews. Harbor Freight states, “We stand behind every PITTSBURGH hand tool purchase with a lifetime guarantee.” Warranty terms and limitations apply; consult the product warranty information. See Harbor Freight’s level listing.

- For general light fastening: choose the socket set if you need both SAE and metric sizes in a small kit; choose a larger-drive set for work requiring more torque.
- For painting: the 14-in-1 tool handles several common prep and cleanup jobs. For stripping paint from shaped trim or rails, the contour scraper is the more targeted option.
- For small hardware: the precision drivers cover several small fastener types, but are not a replacement for full-size screwdrivers.
- For layout: the 24-inch level supplies three vial orientations; treat the stated accuracy as Harbor Freight’s specification.
