Owners of a Ninja Foodi OP300 Series pressure cooker should stop using its pressure-cooking function and request a free replacement lid from SharkNinja. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall on May 1, 2025, because the lid can be opened during pressure cooking, allowing hot contents to escape and causing serious burns. The CPSC says air-frying and other functions may still be used.
Which Ninja Foodi models are recalled?
The recall covers all Ninja Foodi OP300 Series multi-function pressure cookers. Check the model number on the label on the side of the cooker; that number is the decisive identifier. The affected cookers are black, have a 6.5-quart capacity, and bear the Ninja name, but appearance alone is not a substitute for checking the model label.

Characters following a listed model number do not change the model designation. For example, a label reading “OP301 I07” identifies model OP301. The full model list and recall details are in the CPSC recall notice.
What should you stop using?
Stop using the pressure-cooking function until you have completed the recall remedy. The CPSC says the lid can be opened while pressure cooking, which may release hot food or liquid and create a burn hazard. Air-frying and other functions may continue to be used, according to the CPSC.

The CPSC notice attributes 106 burn-injury reports to SharkNinja, including more than 50 reports of second- or third-degree burns to the face or body, and says 26 lawsuits had been filed. These are figures reported in the May 2025 recall notice, not independently audited totals.
How do you get the free replacement lid?
- Confirm that the side label shows one of the recalled OP300-series model numbers.
- Do not use the pressure-cooking function.
- Contact SharkNinja to arrange the free replacement lid, the repair remedy described by the CPSC. Use the current contact route on the official CPSC notice or SharkNinja’s recalls page; contact details and service availability can change.
The CPSC notice lists SharkNinja’s phone number as 888-370-1733, with hours of 9 a.m.–9 p.m. ET Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.–6 p.m. ET Saturday. It also lists [email protected] and the RQA recall page or NinjaKitchen.com’s Support > Recalls page. Check the official recall page for current contact information before reaching out.

Do not buy a separately sold OP300-series replacement pressure-cooking lid as a workaround: the CPSC says those lids are included in the recall too. The remedy specified for affected owners is the free replacement lid through SharkNinja.
