The March 26 date appears to have been confused with the launch-period reservation campaign, which ended March 24 or 25 depending on the offer terms and time zone.
What happened, and when?
Samsung previewed its “Welcome to Bespoke AI” event on March 20, 2025, saying it would reveal its latest home-appliance lineup and AI Home strategy in Seoul near the end of the month. Samsung Korea identifies March 28 as the event date. The U.S. lineup announcement followed on March 29, and Samsung’s global event recap appeared on March 30. Samsung’s March 20 preview, Samsung Korea’s event announcement, the U.S. lineup release and the global recap distinguish those dates.
The event was a product and strategy unveiling, not proof that every announced model was immediately available in every market. Reservation, preorder, retail availability and delivery were separate steps, and the lineup differed by region.
Which appliances did Samsung unveil?
Refrigerators
The lineup included selected Bespoke AI refrigerators with 9-inch AI Home displays, expanded AI Vision Inside capabilities and food-management functions such as grocery lists, freshness alerts and recipe suggestions. Samsung also introduced a Bespoke AI Hybrid Refrigerator designed to adjust cooling based on internal conditions and predicted temperature changes. Features and screen sizes depend on model and market.

AI Vision Inside recognizes selected food items, not everything stored in a refrigerator. Samsung notes that recognition can vary and that some areas, including door bins or freezer contents on certain models, may not be covered. Its published food-recognition totals also vary: the U.S. reservation page referred to 33 unobscured fresh-food items, while the global recap cited 37 items as of April 2025. Those figures are not universal guarantees. The U.S. reservation announcement and the global event recap give the respective claims.
Laundry
Samsung announced Bespoke AI washers and dryers with 7-inch AI Home screens, plus AI Wash+ and AI Dry+ functions intended to tailor laundry care. Models, capacities and heating configurations vary by region. The Bespoke AI Laundry Vented Combo combines washing and drying in one machine; Samsung described it as the first vented all-in-one washer-dryer in its class. Samsung also claimed a 68-minute wash-and-dry time with the Super Speed program. That is a manufacturer claim tied to a specific program, not a guaranteed time for every load, fabric or setting. Samsung’s laundry announcement describes the product line.

Cooking and kitchen appliances
The announcement covered Bespoke wall ovens and other kitchen appliances with AI Home displays, cooking assistance and connected-device controls. Samsung also described a link between refrigerator recipe functions and compatible ovens. Compatibility and features depend on the appliance models and region; the announcement does not establish that every refrigerator or oven can use every connected function. The U.S. reservation announcement outlines the launch-period kitchen products.
Floor care
Samsung introduced the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra cordless stick vacuum and claimed suction power of up to 400W. It also introduced the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra robot vacuum, with object recognition, threshold-climbing capability and a brush designed to extend toward corners and walls. Samsung said the robot could recognize obstacles as small as 1 centimeter and transparent liquids. These are Samsung’s specifications and claims, not results from independent comparative testing.

What Samsung meant by “AI Home”
Samsung presented AI Home as a connected appliance experience rather than a single feature. On supported models, the built-in screen provides an interface for appliance controls and connected SmartThings devices. Samsung’s vision also links appliances with phones and other compatible devices. SmartThings functions may require Wi-Fi, the SmartThings app and a Samsung account; device compatibility and regional support vary.
- Appliance screens: Selected refrigerators have 9-inch displays and selected laundry products have 7-inch displays. Samsung’s footnotes clarify that “AI Home” refers to a product’s 7-inch or 9-inch LCD display; not every screen function uses AI.
- Food and laundry assistance: AI Vision Inside identifies selected foods, while AI Wash+ and AI Dry+ are laundry functions intended to adjust care. Recognition and automated results can be incomplete or incorrect.
- Voice and connected controls: Samsung said Bixby Voice ID could distinguish speakers and personalize information. SmartThings can manage compatible Samsung and third-party devices, subject to compatibility.
- Family Care and monitoring: Samsung described alerts to designated family members when expected activity is absent, as well as remote monitoring and device-management features. Availability depends on supported devices and services.
- Security: Samsung cited Trust Chain, Knox Vault and post-quantum cryptography for some screen-equipped products. Those claims do not mean that every model has identical protections or that account security, permissions, updates, cameras, microphones and cloud connections cease to matter.
What U.S. buyers should know
Samsung Electronics America announced U.S. kitchen, laundry and floor-care products with combinations of AI technology, AI Home touchscreens, built-in Wi-Fi, SmartThings connectivity, sensors and cameras. The U.S. selection was not necessarily identical to the global or Korean lineup. Check the exact model’s listing for availability, dimensions, capacity, electrical requirements, venting, water connections and supported features. Before ordering, confirm installation requirements and door clearance with the retailer or installer.

Samsung’s U.S. reservation campaign began February 26, 2025. It offered eligible U.S. residents a $100 Samsung eCertificate toward a qualifying appliance purchase and a sweepstakes entry for a chance to win a $5,000 Samsung credit. The reservation deadline was March 24 or March 25, depending on the offer terms and time zone; the purchase or preorder window began March 25. These were time-limited launch promotions, not current offers. The campaign announcement contains the terms.
Samsung’s current U.S. Bespoke AI product hub can help identify products, but model-level availability and features still need checking. Do not assume a screen, camera, AI function, SmartThings integration or specific capacity is included across the entire range.

How to decide whether the connected features are useful
The practical case for connected appliances is strongest when a specific function solves a recurring household problem: adjusting a cycle, checking an appliance remotely, managing selected food inventory or coordinating devices through a routine. Recipe suggestions, food recognition, voice control and obstacle detection depend on the model, software, connectivity and how accurately the feature works in a particular home.
- Consider the screen and software trade-off. A display can put controls and device status in one place, but it adds software dependence and another interface to maintain.
- Check your ecosystem. Samsung-centered SmartThings use may suit households already using Samsung devices. Buyers prioritizing cross-brand control can compare LG ThinQ, GE Profile with SmartHQ, Whirlpool connected appliances, or platform-level options such as Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa. Those alternatives are not performance comparisons.
- Weigh privacy and connectivity. Cameras, microphones, voice profiles, food inventories, activity alerts and remote services involve more data and connected features than a conventional appliance. Decide which functions you want and review account, permission and privacy settings.
- Price the feature, not the label. If you would not use the connected functions, compare conventional models that meet the same capacity and installation needs rather than paying extra for features you do not value.
- Account for installation and service. Laundry venting, electrical service, plumbing, appliance dimensions and local installation arrangements can matter more than the smart features. Confirm them for the specific model before buying.
What changed after the 2025 launch?
Samsung announced on April 9, 2026, that a separate 2026 Bespoke AI kitchen-appliance lineup was available at select retailers and Samsung.com. That later availability announcement concerns 2026 products; it does not change the date or scope of the March 2025 unveiling. See Samsung’s 2026 availability update.
