Choose a portable clamping table for smaller projects

Lowe’s search extract did not provide a model number, so use the product listing to confirm the exact item before ordering.
Should you choose a rolling or fixed workbench?
A fixed bench makes sense when you can reserve a permanent work area and want to keep it set up. The 19004 offers the largest listed top—72 by 24 inches—and adjustable height; the WB254 pairs a 45-by-24-inch surface with drawers, pegboard and built-in power. Mobility is not the same as effortless storage. Measure the bench’s working and folded dimensions, doorways and intended storage spot, and consider whether the path stays clear when the garage is in use. The capacities are figures stated on Lowe’s product listings, not independent test results: 2,000 pounds for the 19004; 1,100 pounds for the WB254; 400 pounds on the top shelf and 300 pounds on the lower shelf for the 66765KBL1E; 1,000 pounds for the portable table; and 400 pounds for the wall bench. The folding model’s figures apply to different shelves, so they are not a single whole-bench rating.
A higher listed capacity alone does not make a bench the better choice. Check the product’s instructions for how loads should be placed and supported, and choose for the actual work surface, storage, mobility and workholding you need.
