How did emergency crews reach the people?

Austin Energy de-energized a line close to the two people before responders could safely access them. The first utility truck was too small for the work, so a larger truck was called and escorted by police. Austin Fire Department personnel used a ladder truck with a bucket to retrieve first the living person and then the deceased person.
