The same or closely related international product is listed as the Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim, model BPLDS12DM. Its key selling points are an 8.7-cm-thick fan head, floor-or-tabletop use, USB-C power from compatible power banks, Xiaomi Home controls and low-speed noise rated at 26.8 dB(A).
The important caveat is that this is not a fan with a built-in battery, and “HyperOS support” is not necessarily identical across regions. Imported buyers should verify power-bank requirements, Xiaomi Home compatibility, plug type, firmware and warranty before purchasing.

What Xiaomi launched
The China-market product was reported as the Mijia DC Inverter Floor Fan Pro, also translated as the Mijia DC Variable-Frequency Floor Fan Pro. Xiaomi’s current global listing uses the name Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim. These names appear to describe regional or translation variants rather than clearly separate products.

China launch coverage reported a 399-yuan pre-sale price, with sales beginning on May 15, 2024. That price should not be treated as a current international price. Xiaomi’s global product page now identifies the model as BPLDS12DM.

The ultra-thin design is mainly about storage
The fan head is listed as just 8.7 cm thick. Xiaomi compares this with 23.9 cm for the Mi Smart Standing Fan 2, a claimed reduction of approximately 63 percent. That comparison applies to the fan head—not the complete assembled fan.
Configured as a standing fan, the product measures approximately 310 × 337 × 1,000 mm and weighs 3.3 kg. Its modular construction allows it to be used on the floor or as a table fan, while the supplied EPP storage case is intended to make seasonal storage easier.
That makes the slim head useful in apartments, bedrooms, offices and storage cupboards. It does not mean the assembled one-metre-tall fan has a total depth of only 8.7 cm.
Power-bank operation: useful, but not universal
The fan accepts power through USB Type-C and includes an 18-W adapter. However, Xiaomi does not mean that every USB-C charger or power bank will operate it correctly.

- a voltage profile including 9 V or 12 V; and
- a cable capable of negotiating the required power.
The user manual specifies support for PD2.0, PD3.0, BC1.2, QC2.0 or QC3.0, with 9-V or 12-V output and at least 18 W. A basic 5-V phone power bank may fail to start the fan or may provide only limited operation. Xiaomi warns that an unsuitable source can restrict the fan to direct mode and only direct-wind levels 1 and 2.
If the fan will not run from a power bank, first test it with the included adapter. If it works from the adapter, check whether the battery supports QC or PD, can deliver at least 18 W, offers 9 V or 12 V and is being used with a suitable cable.

How long will a power bank last?
Xiaomi claims up to 22 hours when using a 10,000-mAh Mi Wireless Power Bank Essential at direct-wind level 1 with oscillation disabled. This is a specified manufacturer test condition, not a guaranteed runtime for every battery.
Runtime will usually fall with higher airflow, oscillation, conversion losses, battery age, a weaker power bank or a cable that cannot maintain the required power profile. The fan uses an external power bank while operating; it does not contain its own battery.

This feature is most practical for patios, camping, temporary workspaces, rooms with inconvenient outlets and short power interruptions. It is less useful if the intended power bank supports only ordinary 5-V phone charging.

Airflow, oscillation and controls
The fan uses seven aerofoil blades. Xiaomi claims maximum airflow of 25 m3/min and an airflow distance of up to 14 metres. It also supports up to 90 degrees of left-right oscillation.
These are Xiaomi or test-condition figures, not independent laboratory measurements. A 14-metre airflow-distance claim should not be read as meaning that equally strong cooling reaches every point in a 14-metre room. Like any fan, this product moves air; it does not lower room temperature in the way an air conditioner does.
The fan has four quick speed settings on its body. The Xiaomi Home app provides up to 100 direct-wind levels, with approximate mappings of:
- Body level 1: app level 1
- Body level 2: app level 35
- Body level 3: app level 70
- Body level 4: app level 100
Direct mode delivers more consistent airflow with fine-grained speed control. Natural mode varies the airflow deliberately to create a less mechanical sensation. The app includes eight natural-wind profiles, described with settings inspired by environments such as a lakeside, campsite, terrace, rooftop, wetland, mountaintop and beach. Users can also customise the speed and cycle of the natural-wind curve.

Noise and energy claims
Xiaomi rates the fan at 26.8 dB(A) in direct mode at low speed with oscillation disabled. That is a credible bedroom-oriented specification, but it is not a promise of inaudibility. Perceived noise depends on distance, room acoustics, oscillation, motor condition and the selected speed.
The stated low-speed power consumption is 1.9 W in direct-wind level 1 without oscillation. Xiaomi gives an illustrative figure of approximately 1.4 kWh over 90 days at eight hours per day under that low-power condition. Maximum airflow will be louder and use more power, so neither number represents typical operation at full speed.

China-market launch coverage reported support for Xiaomi’s HyperOS-connected ecosystem and Xiao AI voice control. Xiaomi’s current global listing instead prominently highlights Xiaomi Home, Alexa and Google Assistant. The safest conclusion is that smart-home functions are region- and firmware-dependent.
Do not assume that every international or imported unit supports every HyperOS, Xiao AI, Alexa or Google Assistant feature. Xiaomi also notes that Alexa and Google Assistant availability varies by country and language.
Typical setup requires:
- Install Xiaomi Home or Mi Home and sign in with a Xiaomi account.
- Connect the phone to a 2.4-GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Enable Bluetooth and location permissions if the app requests them.
- Add the fan through the app’s device-add process.
- Select the region or server associated with the product if it is imported.
- Test remote control, firmware updates, automations and voice control before relying on them.
App labels and available functions can vary by region and app version. A fan that works mechanically may still be inconvenient if it cannot be added to the Xiaomi Home region used by the buyer.

- Touch controls on the fan.
- Removable cover for cleaning.
- Child-lock function.
- ABS housing and a 3-mm metal base.
- EPP storage case.
- USB Type-C input and included 18-W adapter.
The 30-metre remote figure applies to open, unobstructed conditions; walls and interference can reduce it. The removable cover simplifies maintenance, but the fan should not be exposed to water splashes, immersion or excessive dust. A child lock reduces accidental operation but is not a substitute for supervision.

An official global product page does not prove that the fan is sold in every country. Buyers should use their local Xiaomi site or authorised retailer rather than treating a marketplace import as local official availability.
Who should consider it?
The Pro Slim is a strong candidate for buyers who value compact seasonal storage, floor-or-table use, fine-grained Xiaomi Home control, low-speed bedroom operation or external power-bank use. It is also a practical air mover for circulating air from an air conditioner.

Its 8.7-cm fan head, tabletop/floor flexibility, 100 app speed levels and natural-wind profiles are meaningful advantages. The main buying risks are the strict 18-W, 9-V/12-V QC or PD power requirement and uncertain regional smart-home compatibility. Verify those details, along with local price and warranty, before importing one.
