Those specifications make it interesting for large-room cooling, but this is not a verified U.S. or global model. Anyone considering an import should treat installation, electrical compatibility, app-region support, warranty coverage, and replacement parts as more important than the headline features.

What Xiaomi launched
The product is officially identified as the Mijia Dual-Outlet Vertical Air Conditioner 3 HP, or 米家双出风立式空调 3匹. It has a tall, floor-standing cabinet with a star-forged silver glass front panel and two “Kunyi” biomimetic air outlets.

It should not be confused with Xiaomi’s Mijia Fresh Air Pro dual-outlet model, later “Super Energy Saving” products, ordinary 3 HP cabinet air conditioners, or a globally sold Xiaomi smart air conditioner.
Airflow and cooling claims
Xiaomi lists a maximum airflow volume of 1,710 m3/h and a claimed 160-degree wide-angle delivery pattern. The dual-outlet design is intended to distribute conditioned air across a wider horizontal field than a single narrow outlet. That may be useful in a large living area, although “more even” cooling has not been independently established for this model.
The system offers two principal airflow designs:
- Sky curtain: directs air higher so it can spread through the room.
- Carpet breeze: directs air lower, potentially reducing a strong stream at head height.
Xiaomi also advertises four-zone independent airflow control. These are manufacturer and launch-material claims, not independent laboratory measurements. Actual cooling performance will depend on room layout, insulation, outdoor temperature, humidity, doors, furniture, and installation quality. No reliable room-size recommendation was established for this exact model, so the “3 HP” label should not be used alone to size a room.

The depth discrepancy—408 mm versus 441 mm—should not be ignored. It may result from different measurement conventions, a page revision, or an error. Confirm the exact model’s official installation drawing before ordering or preparing a wall, floor, or service clearance.
“3 HP” also does not mean that the air conditioner uses a literal three-horsepower electrical motor. In Chinese air-conditioner marketing, 匹 identifies a capacity class. The reported 1,930 W cooling input and 2,680 W heating input are electrical input figures; they are not the same as cooling capacity or annual energy consumption.
Energy efficiency: what “first-level” means
The unit was described as having first-level energy efficiency under China’s rating system. Launch coverage also reported a claim of approximately 30% energy savings. China’s efficiency classification cannot be directly converted into a U.S. SEER2, EER, or European rating. The reported 1,930 W cooling input also cannot by itself produce a household electricity-cost estimate. Operating hours, set temperature, climate, insulation, maintenance, and installer workmanship will determine real-world consumption.

What HyperOS Connect adds
The air conditioner supports Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, making it part of Xiaomi’s Mijia smart-home ecosystem. Reported functions include:
- Remote control through the Mijia/Xiaomi Home app.
- Phone-based temperature and operating-mode adjustments.
- Voice control through Xiaomi’s XiaoAI assistant.
- Interconnection with other compatible Xiaomi smart-home devices.
Here, HyperOS is best understood as a smart-device connectivity layer, not a smartphone-style operating system experience on the air conditioner. The available information does not verify the required app region, Xiaomi account setting, Wi-Fi band, firmware support period, or whether all automations work outside mainland China.
Potential pairing problems are therefore a real import risk. A China-market appliance may require a mainland-China server region or account, and remote control can fail because of account restrictions, internet outages, server-region limitations, or firmware incompatibility. Confirm compatibility with the seller before purchase rather than assuming that a global Xiaomi Home account will work.
Filters and self-cleaning
Xiaomi reports high-density antibacterial and antifungal filters, with antibacterial performance of up to 99%, together with high-temperature drying or self-cleaning for the indoor and outdoor units. These claims should be attributed to Xiaomi and its launch materials; they are not independent medical or laboratory certification.
There is an important distinction:
- Filter hygiene concerns reducing microbial growth on or around filter surfaces.
- Air purification means removing particles or gases from room air.
- Self-cleaning generally refers to drying or cleaning heat-exchanger surfaces, not sterilizing every part of the airflow path.
This air conditioner should not be treated as a substitute for a dedicated HEPA purifier, and the available evidence does not establish removal of viruses, fine particles, allergens, or volatile organic compounds. Filters and coils will still require routine inspection and cleaning.
Installation considerations
The cabinet is 1,863 mm tall, so it needs more than a simple footprint check. Before installation, verify:
- Ceiling clearance and space above the cabinet.
- Clear air-inlet and outlet paths for both vents.
- Outdoor-unit dimensions, clearance, and electrical requirements.
- Condensate-drain routing and fall.
- Refrigerant-line routing and maximum permitted pipe length.
- Local voltage, frequency, wiring, breaker, and earthing requirements.
- Access for future servicing and filter removal.
Curtains, shelves, furniture, doors, or a nearby wall can obstruct the two outlets and undermine the intended wide-angle airflow. A qualified local HVAC installer should confirm the complete indoor and outdoor installation plan before any import is paid for.

The reported 42–46 dB(A) indoor noise range is a stated specification, not a guarantee of the same perceived sound level in every mode or room. Background noise, reverberation, fan speed, and building construction affect how quiet the unit feels.
Price and availability
The verified launch price was 5,799 yuan during the May 2024 China pre-sale. The product was offered through JD.com, and Xiaomi’s China website has an official product listing. Neither fact establishes international shipping, U.S. certification, local warranty support, or an authorized installer network.
No verified U.S. or global launch, U.S. price, or U.S. support information was established. Do not convert the old yuan launch figure into a current dollar retail price: freight, customs, taxes, installation, exchange rates, and importer markup can materially change the total cost.
For Chinese-market availability, check the Xiaomi air-conditioner store on JD.com and the official Xiaomi JD flagship store. A listing there still does not prove export eligibility or after-sales coverage in another country.
Should you buy or import it?
It may suit you if:
- You are buying for the China market and have access to qualified installation and service.
- You want a tall cabinet unit for a large living space.
- Broad, multi-directional airflow and four-zone control are valuable to you.
- You already use Xiaomi’s China-region smart-home ecosystem.
- You can verify local parts, warranty, electrical, and refrigerant support.
It is a poor fit if:
- You are in the U.S. or another market seeking a locally supported appliance.
- You need a directly comparable local efficiency rating such as SEER2.
- You cannot confirm voltage, frequency, refrigerant, or installer requirements.
- You depend on guaranteed global Xiaomi Home compatibility.
- You are unwilling to accept difficult warranty and replacement-part arrangements.
Import checklist
Before buying, obtain written confirmation of:
- Exact model number and official installation manual.
- Voltage, frequency, refrigerant, cooling and heating capacity, and outdoor-unit specifications.
- Required breaker, wiring, drainage, and refrigerant-pipe arrangements.
- Mijia app region and Xiaomi-account requirements.
- Warranty territory, return procedure, and availability of filters, remotes, control boards, compressor parts, and other service items.
- Local electrical, refrigerant, building, and appliance regulations.
- Total landed cost, including freight, customs, installation, and any required electrical work.
Verdict
The Mijia 3 HP Dual-Outlet Air Conditioner is an ambitious China-market cabinet unit. Its headline strengths are the claimed 1,710 m3/h airflow, 160-degree delivery, four-zone control, heating and cooling, smart-home integration, and hygiene-focused maintenance features.
