The suction figures above are Xiaomi’s quoted specifications, not independent cleaning-test results. A higher or identical Pa number does not by itself establish better pickup on a particular floor, better edge cleaning, or better pet-hair performance.

X10 vs X10+: the dock matters more than the suction number
Both X10 models are documented with 4,000Pa fan-blower suction, so the X10+ is not a higher-suction version of the X10. The meaningful upgrade is the cleaning station and the mopping system.
What the X10 does
The X10 uses LDS laser navigation to map and plan routes. It has a floating roller brush, an electronically controlled 200ml water tank, and three water-flow levels. After cleaning, its dock can automatically collect dust from the robot into a disposable bag; Xiaomi documents a 2.5-liter bag and a dual-channel dust-collection system.

That makes the X10 useful for someone who wants to avoid emptying the robot’s small onboard dustbin after every run but is comfortable handling the mop pad and water tank manually. It is a more conventional vacuum-and-mop robot with automatic dust disposal rather than a fully self-servicing mop system.
What the X10+ adds
The X10+ uses the same quoted 4,000Pa suction figure but adds two rotating mop pads rated at up to 180rpm. The pads can lift when the robot encounters carpet, and the robot provides three water-volume settings. After a mopping run, the station is designed to wash the pads, dry them with hot air, and refill the robot’s water tank. It also retains automatic dust collection.
For a household that mops often, this changes the ownership routine substantially. Cables, socks, small toys, and pet accidents should not be assumed to be detected reliably every time. Basic floor preparation remains sensible even with the X10+.
S10 vs S12: a cautious comparison
The S10 and S12 require more caution than the X10 comparison because the official specification pages identified in this research list the same model number, B106GL, along with very similar core hardware details. That does not prove that every regional S10 and S12 package is identical, but it does mean that a retailer’s “S12+” label should not be accepted as evidence of a distinct upgraded platform.
What is documented for the S10?

What is documented for the S12?
The official S12 specification page identifies the robot as model B106GL and lists approximate dimensions of 350mm by 94.5mm, a 45W rating, radar sensing, a combined water tank and dust container, filters, a mop pad, a mop frame, and a charging dock.
Some secondary coverage reports 4,000Pa suction and up to 130 minutes of runtime for the S12, but the primary specification evidence used here does not justify presenting those numbers as universal. Do not automatically copy the S10’s 3,200mAh or 130-minute Standard-mode claim into an S12 comparison. Check the official page for the market in which the robot is being sold.
Because the S10 and S12 pages in this research share the B106GL model family and list similar components, the available documentation does not establish a dependable hardware advantage for the S12. What does “S12+” mean?

If those details cannot be confirmed, treat “S12+” as an unresolved retail name and compare the verified S12—or a different officially documented model—instead.
Which Xiaomi robot vacuum should you choose?
Choose the X10+ for hands-off mopping
Choose the X10+ if your priority is minimizing routine intervention. Its documented advantages are automatic dust collection, automatic mop-pad washing, hot-air drying, water refilling, dual rotating pads, pad lifting for carpets, and additional 3D obstacle-recognition hardware. These features are especially relevant if the robot will mop frequently and you do not want to service a wet pad after each run.
This recommendation is based on the documented feature set, not on an independent cleaning score or hands-on test. The station also introduces more consumables and more components to keep clean, so maximum automation does not mean maintenance-free ownership.

Choose the X10 for automatic emptying without full dock automation
The X10 is the better fit if automatic dust disposal solves your main problem but automatic mop washing and water refilling are unnecessary. It retains LDS mapping, 4,000Pa quoted suction, three water-flow settings, and a documented 2.5-liter disposable dust bag, while avoiding the need to pay for the X10+’s additional mop-service hardware.
Its limitation is clear: the owner remains responsible for the mop pad and water-related upkeep. It also does not have the X10+’s documented S-Cross AI 3D obstacle-avoidance system.
Choose the S10 for a simpler vacuum-and-mop setup

Robot-vacuum ownership costs do not end with the robot. The X10 and X10+ use disposable dust bags in their collection stations, so owners should budget for replacement bags. The exact bag fit must be checked by model and part number; Xiaomi dust bags should not be assumed interchangeable across every dock.
The S10 package identifies a filter, mop pad, mop frame, side brush, and cleaning brush. The S12 package likewise identifies filters, a mop pad, mop frame, side brush, and charging dock. Those parts create natural replacement-filter, replacement-mop-pad, and brush-maintenance needs, but marketplace compatibility should be checked against the exact robot model and region.
