Decide whether you need a hinged press, rocker, or twister
- Hinged presses: use handles and leverage to force garlic through holes. They are usually the most direct option for pressing into a pan, bowl, or measuring cup.
- Rocker presses: use downward pressure and a rocking motion. They generally collect garlic in an open area for scooping, as with the Joseph Joseph.
